    This is a big picture channel. I love your demeanor and how thorough you are. I really appreciate seeing you take time to address even the smallest minded comments, but don't let it lead you astray. It's obvious you're laying the groundwork for a serious series on this car and it will pay off in spades for those of us with project cars that have realistic expectations of how things go. Carry on!

      Thank you so much for taking your time to write this, it really means a lot. Some people either just don't get the little details or are simply misinformed because they haven't taken the time to watch the prior episodes and follow updates I've spoon fed in other project videos. I appreciate your support and the wait will be well worth it. It's been stressful getting to this point, but the lift is almost ready, then we can jump into pulling the KA 🙌

    I'd keep the prop rod just in case of emergency, as in, if the struts fail at some point, then you got the prop as backup.
    Those tapes look ugly, when are you planning to put a spoiler?

    • @saabkyle04
      @saabkyle04  6 лет назад +6

      Well they're not meant to be stylish haha. I won't do any bodywork till the powertrain and suspension is fully dialed in. I'd rather have tape than a leaky trunk! It would be good to have it as a backup later on.

    do you think this would work okay with my CF Origin LAb hood?

    • @saabkyle04
      @saabkyle04  6 лет назад +1

      I wouldn't recommend it. From everything I've researched and seen, CF and FB hoods have risk of cracking when struts or even prop rods are used. It has to do with the force you have to pull on top of the hood when using struts, or the fact that weight isn't evenly distributed when using a prop rod. I suppose it's possible if you are super careful and be gentle, but again, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending it and it messing up your hood. I know those aren't cheap!

      Saabkyle04 I did watch that video, and really appreciate what’s next to come, I just can’t wait for the new exciting things to that series 👍🏽

      Yeah dude, for sure! I hate it for everyone who's excited about the progress. It's been one delay after another, but today, the lift should be finished. It's been a long time coming. Then we can get ready to pull the KA!

    Keep the prop rod. Eventually you'll need to replace them. It's nice to have the rod and not rely on a helper or tripod.

      I was thinking that after I finished editing the video haha. I'll probably get it powder coated or something so it'll look nice. Good looking out dude!

    Kyle, you should donate your old engine and transmission to me, so I can do a rwd conversation on my 1983 Saab 900. Full circle....lol.

      No point when it's all going to get removed anyway. A little paint scuff is the least of my worries when the rest of the body is covered in dents.

      Those guys are super talented. A little far away for a likely collaboration, but I could certainly learn a thing or two from them!
