Subhan'Allah. I am a revert to Islam in Manchester UK. I also don't work with Muslims. Only 1 Muslim in my work place and he's the cleaner who I speak to only occasionally. Alhamdulillah I still fast the whole of Ramadan and have done this for 11 years. I don't need other Muslims around me to obey Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.

Ma Shaa Allah. I reverted to Islam back in 2004. Have had many up and downs during the last 18 years but have always considered myself a Muslim and held true as best I could, to the values of Islam. However, I do fall from time to time and recently in the last 4 years now I have neglected many aspects of Islam, may Allah forgive me. This video Subhanallah is a well eye opener and exactly what I need. Am going to bookmark it and watch it many many times so that it sinks in In Shaa Allah. It's a shame to see Muslim not to see the beauty and blessings of Ramadhan and choose not to fast. Yes, it's hard especially to do it in a non Muslim countries surrounded by all kinds of sins and temptation, but we must try our best. Like brother Shamsi said, it's Jihad.

To those who are surprised and can’t understand how it comes he is muslim and not practicing islam!
This brother may Allah guide him explained why he became like this. It all goes to the way his parents raised him. I remember the first time when my roommate in uni said to me he doesn’t pray because he is still young he will start praying when he gets old. It was a shock for me!!! Then I realised where that incessant hope came from. His dad was like that and many ppl in his country think the same. I’m saying this just to remind each other that to be patient and try to understand the cultural differences even if some of them wrong in order to correct them. My roommate now is performing his salah on time alhamdulillah.

i was once like that and it's still a continues struggle, i always believed in Allah i was actually suicidal for many years yet the only think kept me from going with it is the fear from allah. i never committed any major sins, i even never even entertained smoking if any type because i knew my well is weak and i won't be able to stop after i start.
btw i live in saudi arabia so the issue isn't the place where you live (although it has some influence) but when you believe and you don't really disagree on the teaching it's just that you are some how stuck from doing the MOST IMPORTANT ibadah which is praying you feel frustrated. it comes from a place of procrastination and shame.
from my experience for you to break it you need to take the leap, you might need to do ghusol so after taking the shower, go pray don't give any excuse you have non, you just took a shower you have 4 min to pray. no need for a complicated surahs. do the simplest ones.
by doing so you have just reconnected your link with Allah, you actually truly became a Muslim again. no matter big sins or not you have just became a Muslim again. i want you to take this in and realise the magnitude of what you have just done.
welcome back brother, it took you 4 min and your already have connected to your creator the creator of this amazing creation, you are on your way to salvation.
your sins you were ashamed about... well guess what many of those sins have been erased thank to this 1 prayer that was barely 4 min long.
now after you do this prayer and relaise the magnitude you may pray another prayer as you still didn't break your wudu....but unfortunately after you broke your wudo you again procrastinated and didn't continue your prayers. so you started to again feel shame because you didn't pray and that paralyzed you from praying even more.
once this happens relealise that the shaitan is again playing a game on you but guess what you are already winning, because before that you were paralyzed by your sins rather than not praying and you already took many steps forward by changing this to paralyzed do to not praying.
because your thoughts are now always about not praying about not being a Muslim again. so what will happen is that either you will have the will to pick yourself up and do wudo and pray again or after you shower you will again go pray.
congradulation brother, you just have taken another big step forward closer to Allah, you went from someone who doesn't pray and not a Muslim (eternally in hell) to someone who is struggling for Allah, you might not be the top of people but your already getting very close to Allah, and Allah is happy with you, yes happy even though you are not praying regularly.
you were away from Allah and you came back to him and in the quran itself Allah says that a person like you doing what you are doing (turning back to Allah) makes Allah more happy than someone who's camel ran away in the middle of the desset with all his food and water only to go take a shade near a tree and finds the camel there.
now that you know Allah is Happy with you do you not want Allah to be even more happy and stay happy? do you not want to see shaitan fail more and more and get more and more upset by his failure? do you not want to take revenge for all that he has done to you?
and i know you want all of these things and here comes the last but probably second in importance only to the first step which is that you will probably start praying simi regularly but something will happen and you will stop praying then you will pray a little bit, this is all the struggles of building the routine. the most important thing is that you NEVER STOP. no matter how long you stopped praying, how little you sprayed after being regular. always strive to continue praying.
you on your own when you never quite will start paying more and more regularly after that period of instability.
finally after all of this i would like to congradulate you because with this and fasting alone with the grace and mercy of Allah not only will you enter paradise but you will also have a high ranking.
but we should be greedy when it comes to being close to Allah and rising up further in ranks all the way to the top. which is the next challenge, you already inshallah with the grace of Allah and mercy of Allah in paradise and now your next challenge is the best of ones, you will start challenging others in ranking higher and higher.
may Allah grant us the highest of ranks next to to prophets and the sahaba!

I was one of those people who struggled with praying. I just found wudu and praying 5 times at specific times of the day everyday was such a burden and I became so lazy. I wanted to pray but I had no motivation and the more my parents would tell me to get up and pray the more I didn't want to do it. Then I started watching a lot of dawah videos and seeing people like shamsi talking about Islam and Allah swt made me love the religion even more. so I made dua to Allah to make me one of those who prayer comes easy to them and Alhumdulilah a few days later I woke up and made wudu and I haven't missed a prayer since. wallah I couldn't believe how easy it was, growing up doing wudu felt like it took 5 minutes when in reality it only takes 2 and now it genuinely feels like less than a minute to do. And praying used to feel like it would take 10 minutes when in reality it only takes 5 to 6 minutes yet it only feels like 2 minutes. Wallahi the power of dua is amazing. May Allah guide this man and everyone inshallah May Allah make him and all the muslims the people whom prayer and fasting comes so easy to them inshallah.

"signs within yourself" the only one that deserves anything is the creator, he is the one that laboured into bringing us from nothing. I'd like to see one person bring something from nothing. like free energy. it's not going to happen because it's an impossible task, we are an impossible creation. just our body parts alone they can't possibly exist yet they do. we summon our hands at our command they serve us in whatever we want. it makes sense for the creator to have servants, right hands that he summons and to do his bidding without question. yet we always question. we deserve hell not heaven.

A Muslim can't serve any alcoholic drinks as he's underneath the damnation of Allāh ﷻ due to the authentic Hadīth of the Prophet ﷺ.
A Muslim who truly fears Allāh knows his sustenance comes from Allāh thus he needs to abandon any harām dealings/practices and search for another job even if one has to endure hardship.
The hardship will be temporary as Allāh ﷻ will provide a halāl way for him as so long he's sincere and striving to abstain from doing harām things.

Akhi, these kind of logic would not benefit us. We have to fast expecting reward from Allah. And to do that, we have to believe in the hereafter strongly.
So, thats the condition. Do you want reward or no. If you don't want it and you don't fear the punishment, do as you please.
Your logic about love and all that are unheard of from the salaf.

"And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allah as rivals (to Allah). They love them as they (should) love Allah. But those who believe, love Allah more (than anything else). If only, those who do wrong could see, when they will see the torment, that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is Severe in punishment." [Baqarah 2:165]
Look up the tafseer of this verse and also
from the explanation of Kitaab At Tawheed that we worship Allah upon love, fear, and hope. And love is the most important trigger to worship Allah. Allah deserves to be worship with love and glorification.
When we know, we learn, we think and reflect upon/about Allah, His beautiful Names and Attributes, that Allah is The Provider, He is The One who provides everything for us in this dunya & akhirah, heaven and earth, that He is The Bestower of Mercy, He is The One who responds, He is The King, The Owner of everything, The Protector, The Sustainer, The Healer, The Loving One and The Beloved One, The Benevolent, The True and Trustwhorthy, etc. Then it should bring about a state of the heart, that we describe as Love. Our hearts develop love of Allah due to all these things.

So are you saying that what he is teaching comes from his own head instead and not from the Qur'an and Sunnah? So many ayat from the Qur'an and ahadith he mentions all the time and he is not saying anything wrong like making haram halal or halal haram. Everything he tells people is haram is backed by evidences from Allah and his messenger, like alchohol, gambling, zina, etc. He is just giving da'wah and caling people to worhip Allah because worshipping Allah is the obligation of us all. What is your proof that he is spreading "his version of Islam", as you called?
