Great actors, interesting movie
This reminded me of Waiting to Exhale.
I've only seen little bits of that movie. It has a great cast, and I see it's streaming on Hulu, so I might have to give it a try.
I think the movie ending is more of an open ending because we also don't know what happen next if they get together or not. and the reason for their breakup is because Solene don't want anything bad happen to Izzy at school. I also think that they wait 5 years is because maybe movie creator want to open conversation on people perception on age gap whether it is acceptable or not, because when the leads start their relationship he was 24yo so maybe at that time he was still considered a young adult whereas after 5years he was a grown man so the public is more accepting??? I also don't know, I think when the couple both have an emotional matureness to them and at appropriate age, it should be okay. Also the movie bring up conversation on real fan culture that public figure faces which is great because artist also is a human being and should be treated as such.
