If you really loved Ed you would work harder to learn what has happened to him to cause such out of character behavior. I have warned of this coming for 30 years & now it is so rampant that in the last 5 years the number of girls in Utah having sex change operations has increased by 10,000٪!!!!! What does it take to wake up Utah to the chemical warfare waged against them, against us all?! Time to read the reason for the Word of Wisdom again?

One thing I find quite humorous & am puzzled as to why it would be a concern in our day & age is the translation of the Book of Mormon he mentions as looking at a rock in a hat? We live in a day & age where looking at a flat box, which almost has to be in a hat to see it since sunlight causes such a glare, opens the whole world to us & radio transmission is delived via crystals...so why would looking at a rock, especially those that are opaque until you hold them up to the sun where you can see right though that black stone, be considered far fetched in the least?!

The real test for the Mormon church is not Ed's sexual orientation, its the fact that the prophets, seers and revelators could not discern that Elizabeth was in downtown taken by former temple workers. Leaders gave the Smart's blessing and could not say where she was or what happened to her. So they could not discern Mark Hoffman was a liar with murderous intent, and then could not discern Elizabeth was walking around town dressed in make-believe temple white.

I think he should have stayed quiet and suffer alone and not bring his wife and children out in public. We didn't need to know about him or about how his wife reacted,we could all have gone on with our own lives perfectly well without knowing or caring. If my husband did that to me,come out as gay,my last wish would be that he'd humiliated me infront of the whole world by saying what I said, how I reacted, that is none of anyones business. I would sue my husband for bringing me out in public just for him to have a story to tell. But some people don't respect anyone elses feelings as long as their own feelings are getting better.

I am disgusted that he drug his family into the public eye to validate his conflicted choices. He quite possibly be the most conflicted person I have ever witnessed. I think he is lying through his teeth about not leaving for another man he was involved with. Its human nature to leave pain and run to pleasure. I cant think of a single case where a person who is not being abused, just walks away into the arms of nothing. My observation is he was involved with some man at some level and saw that as his escape hatch out of his personal conflict. Sad man, I can't see that he will be happy long term. The attention he is getting from someone now wont be able fill the void he has from running from 34 years of his family. It does not add up. His whole coming out and doing it publicly is just a narcissistic action to validate his feels... certainly would love to hear from Lois. There are 3 sides to every story, hers, his and the truth in the middle... wish them all well. Sad

The issue is Lois did ask him ourright, she wanted to know. He was stunned. He also neve wanted this to be public. Someone on his FB leaked his words.

You have Joseph Smith to thank for your understanding of a loving Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. No other church understands their unity in purpose, but separateness in body. That knowledge came through a living prophet in a restored church. Hold on to what you know. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater.

Ed is so good! Ed is so wonderful! No. Ed has made LOIS a VICTIM here. Ed lied for 35 years and now speaks his hurtful "truth" and Lois is the victim. He now runs around with other men, dates, and is gleeful about his new romance life. Lois is the victim in all this acting out on Ed's part.

Rebecca Sowell He’s definitely not a sicko, but very intelligent, honest and open. Unfortunately, some people choose to hate rather than try to understand. Hopefully, he doesn’t give up on God, but can get out of the Mormon cult.

@@T77pt My situation is similar, but slightly different from that of his family. My late father was closeted, and we were estranged from him prior to knowing that; based on abusive behaviour on his part. I have good relations with another family member who is gay, and I am supportive of human rights protections for LGBTQ people. Sexual orientation is not a choice, but people have personal relationships within a family that aren't always easy to unpack. He seems like a decent man, so in some ways that marriage breakup might be harder on his kids , than the one my parents went through was for me. I hope they are able to have good personal relationships with each other at some point. (in our case the marriage breakup occurred when my Dad was closeted)

Let’s bring a stranger to your house to help with outside maintenance and be oblivious enough to think that may not be problematic with two daughters. Typical Mormon stupidity.
