I have had a similar realization as you, I don’t really use the bigger palettes anymore. The smaller palettes get more love and definitely more travel friendly!

I LOVE The tower 28 in the same color for the same reason, also the Givenchy prism libre in 95N / N120 depending on tan/season is the same creamy perfect vanilla and doesn't ever get caught in any lines around my eyes
I've been kind of shying away from purchasing large palettes too....unless it's a palette like this new one (which I will pick up ;). They're just so bulky, hard to travel with & just take up so much space in general. I'm a nudes gal myself, and this is a palette I could use every day, which is why I'll grab it, but other than that, I do prefer the quads, etc. I love putting a lighter matte shade on the lid (inner/half) too, makes such a big difference. I really dislike the original Laura mercier loose powder, but the “ultra blur” version they released a year or so ago is SOOOO much better. It’s so thin and easy to work with, impossible to get Marie Antoinette-level powdery with it. Recommend getting that one instead!
