This song is actually Japanese and she translated the lyrics and wrote the english version herself. She doesn't even speak Japanese. Definitely check out her version of God-ish too. It's just as good and the song is great.
@@severedproxy She meant to say words instead of Kanji, so this isn't actually the case. I think she clarified that she knows around 300-400 Kanji but I don't remember the exact number, so she is definitely still at the late beginner stage.

Then, she use the literal translation as reference to make the English lyrics herself. You know, to make it fit to the music and not awkward like 1:1 translations would usually turn out.
