I don't think this is a very honest representation of Port Charlotte or Sunseekers resort. A lot of your pics are from Punta Gorda n not PC. That mall you show is all but deserted.
Going there to make more video shoots of stores, but I think Sunseekers will bring more work and economy to SWFL. Plus a lot of local moving from that area any way because of the flood insurance
@@alek.petrov.realtor The deserted mall that's not safe, the resort that's been a dumpster fire from day one, and the fact that much of your footage isn't even PC, its PG. PC isn't bad, but it's kind of a nothing town/city. There's no downtown, no shopping district, few restaurants that are worth the money and small lots. It's a strange place, really. Been here for years. Like I said, not bad, but not good. You go on and on about the restaurants, outdoor activities, shopping and stuff like that. It's opinion, or sales pitch, but the people that live here actually say they miss the things that you say are in abundance here.
Hopefully the Sunseeker brings some improvements to that end of PC, it needs the help. They're also like a lot of Florida towns, no real downtown but more of a long strip along a main route. In PC's case it's Rte. 41.
I moved there in 92' and boy has it changed. Once you get north of the Charlotte harbor it's a shit hole! I left in 2010 thankfully! Good luck with South Charlotte drugs and thugs!
I was born and raised in Port Charlotte. I remember when 41 was just 2 lanes north and south. The mall seen better days in the early 90s to early 2000s. Hurricanes are common. It will take years of redevelopment to really say pc is a great place to live and sunseeker is the start of that. No real beach. There are many better places in SW Florida to move to also worse. I live the Venice and Englewood beach vibe. Sarasota is more expensive but has more to do and is not that touristy. So to move to pc from another state or county or city is to say where i can't from was very bad. I like southern North Port its quiet for the most part and Coco Plum has most of the shops i need to go to along with a sprinkle of good eats. Just north of west villiages where there are alot more shops restaurants and housing along with a baseball stadium.
Tts in sweet spot one hour away from Fort Meyers and Sarasota the homes in port Charlotte are 100 to 200 thousands cheaper no hoa and 2 community pools you could join for 100 dollars year
Port Charlotte has a very nice park & beach on the harbor (river water but still decent). Park has a pool, tennis & volleyball courts, fishing pier & nice boat ramp.
Charlotte harbor water is not good, red tide, no one swims in it, and yes, Port shithole is what everyone calls it, homes all have rats because of canals, BIG RATs chew holes thru the walls and are in the ceilings, and trap houses down your street being raided with smoke bombs and popo 😂
I lived in Port Charlotte for 5 years and I lived on a canal and had rats, all the canal homes have huge rats, thry find their way in, these homes were built in the 1960s and they're the same houses that are there now, 2011 i bought one for $43,000, now that same house is 250,000...rip off, rats were there when i moved in and when i sold it! Trap houses where u least expect it, lots of druggies in pc.
Crime is out of control. Yet the Sheriff does nothing, unless you have a tail light out. I've been in Sarasota County for 30 years. AVOID CHARLOTTE COUNTY AND NORTH PORT LIKE THE PLAGUE
Great video! Moved to PC in 2018, love it. Charlotte Harbor boating is excellent, year round. Looking forward to Sunseeker, especially if/when the marina gets approved. We need some transient restaurant docking in PC, currently only in Punta Gorda.
Now that you’re in and settled, what are your honest opinions about the area? Would you say this video captures a reasonable expectation or experience of Port Charlotte?
I’m sorry have you ever actually lived in Port Charlotte? You’re showing photos of Punta Gorda and Rotonda both of which are adjacent towns. Your claiming a mall filled with Mold and structural damage that has 7 stores in it is a highlight of the area. Golfers will tell you they go to Venice or Englewood. There aren’t good courses in Port Charlotte. I get your trying to sell homes but dude don’t give people fake information.
My family leaves in Port Charlote, I did correct info on the mall part. I good there and it’s not bad as Lehigh let me tell you that. Yes Venice has nicer areas for sure but Englwood I don’t know. I know Rotonda has some nice places. Regards mall I agree, after I went there I was a bit shocked

Agreed! Sunseekers is going to ruin PC

Well, he is a realtor. He's trying to make sales here. Lying is part of that, unfortunately.
@@1QKGLH are you talking about deserted mall or about resort? If I lied, I had no problem to apologies

I would say old part of town has issue but on west side, south east is super chill
Port Charlotte is great. I've lived in Miami, Pompano Bch, Orlando and I love the old Florida feel and friendly people in the area.
Thanks for sharing, yes PC definitely offers that
Agreed
tnx

Ya I would say Venice is better for sure but cost more. I don't really like North Port to be be honest lol
I live in port charlotte and sun seeker has driven prices through the roof .

No beach..I live near here its called Port Shitlotte br locals because its an undesirable place with no beach
Ya they don’t have one but I believe they are trying to make one, however it will be on the river

I live on a canal on Elkcam. Never a rat...Ever.. Your just a filthy person that doesnt lid your trash can with a strap.
DEFINITELY LOTS OF DRUGGIE S IN PC .
The mall is a joke soon to be apartments.
Yes it is and I hope they bring it back
im considering taking a job in sarasota. what do I need to make to live on the wate. no view on a canal small home. I think the job pays 70k
Give me a call and would love chat so we can make some happen
...you won't even be able to afford the insurance on the water on 70k...
For 70K you'll need to be waaaaay inland up in the Sarasota area. Double that and you might have friends that live near the water lol.
There plenty of waterfront homes on water with Gulf access between 360 to 450 with pool ,two bedrooms, two full baths you won't find that in Sarasota
