literaly started crying it reminds me so much of when i read the books and was so sad when they were over and the story didnt continue it was a sad but happy point in time for me
Mille Prahl I agree. I play piano and I like listening to different genres of music played on piano. I like listening to the different tone qualities in other music. It gives me ideas to try out when I'm improvising. =)
Jeffrey Hicks same here! I mean there's the music played on the radio, and I like that, but just sitting and listening to instrumental music, it makes me relax a lot :)
it's such a weird feeling to come back to this video after so many years. I was barely 11 when I found it, and now it's been 10 years more! this was one of the reasons I fell in love with the piano, and even tho I haven't had time to enjoy it, watching this back DOES makes me happy. thank you for everything kyle! this channel means more to me than you can imagine
Hi kyle, I'm 22 Italian pianist, near to one last piano year for the piano graduation, dreaming to do one day something like you do yet, I play many arrangements from classical, modern and contemporary composer including yours arrangements XD , I follow you from 6 months and can sincerely say that you have great talent and technique with arrangements, really not easy to play quickly , some your arrangements in technique version have chords mixed like F. Busoni, Liszt, rachmaninov (elegy for rem appear like rachmaninoff arrangements XD) so it isn't for all play your version, you have done a great work in this years like pianist and with composition, a fortune and a pleasure to know you and your arrangements online, I hope you will go on always in better, I'm happy to know the community in the forum and exepecelly thanks to the writers piano part. So I write this comment only to say thank you, because now you are in my circle of piano authors :) Complimenti :) P. s. Really I loved all your works, but exepecelly Anime, Disney and ghibli works, and also Christmas works that I hope will arrive soon.
Harry Potter was seriously my entire childhood and this just made it 10x better! Thank you for not only performing those pieces perfectly, but also for making a seriously amazing melody. This one will be on replay for a while(:
There is almost nothing in this world I wouldn't give to be able to play like you. You are seriously, seriously talented, and that will never be stretched enough. I admire your music beyond the point of words and I'm working my butt off every chance I get just to play once through this medley, and still haven't done it, let alone smoothly. Excellent work, sir, truly excellent.
Teacher in music class offers the piano to the room. This guy awkwardly shuffles to the front and volunteers shyly. "I'll try, but I'm not very good....." Then he does this.
I had a keyboard but now I have a baby grand Kawai; YOU TOTALLY DESERVE A PIANO, NOT A KEYBOARD!!!!! That was AMAZING!!! I am completely obsessed with Harry Potter, so I got the whole book of songs!
I have watched this over and over again and am mesmerized every single time I listen/watch you play this. Keep it up and always looking forward to listening to your new stuff.
Just started rereading the series and hearing you bring the music to life like this is making me REALLY happy to be back in the world of Harry Potter after getting out of the Divergent one (which I couldn't really get absorbed in).
"better" piano? These Yamaha Stage Pianos are the best thing you can buy without strings and they're much smaller ;) but of course...a real Grand Piano is the peak of perfection...
ALL OF THE FEELS STARTED FOR ME AT 11:44 *sniffle* But honestly, thank you for the lovely trip down memory lane, and my childhood. You're utterly amazing.
I'll never be as good, I could not even get close to one hundredth, but listening and watching you play is an unique experience! I hope to hear you in live one day. THank you !
I'm grinning like a fool right now. Your music will never cease to amaze me, and combined with Harry Potter, you've made my evening exponentially better.
This is the most amazing piece I have ever heard played on piano by anyone and you literally nailed it on the head... This is absolutely amazing and not even I would have the patience to do it.(and I sit down and do 6,000 piece Lego sets and intentionally build them wrong so I can take them apart and rebuild them. Am I weird?)😜
You get used to it. Play pieces which are slightly too easy for you for a long time than start to ramp up the difficulty so that your arms start to build stamina.
Lessons are not the be all and end all of getting good at piano. I've been playing for 14 years, but haven't had lessons for 5-6 years. However, due to actually practising over the last 4 years, I've seen a dramatic spike in my ability.
TheDiggster13 Thats true. Practice is what makes you good! I have had lessons for 5 years, and I have learned all there is to know. I also had an amazing teacher! But I have kept practicing and I have improved. Your teacher just learns you how to play, and how to read music. It's up to you to keep playing and practising!
This is the first video that I saw of you Kyle, and I've never looked back. Glad to be a subscriber and a daily watcher of your videos. Your playing is so relaxing and makes me wish I had never stopped learning the piano.... still, summer plans to actually be able to play something. Thank you for gracing us with such amazing skills!!! Much love
Kyle, you're my hero. I have a keyboard, a little smaller than yours, and I used to spend whole afternoons practicing on that keyboard, learning to play it "on my own" (without any sheet, or classes or anything). I used to keep it near my computer so I could watch your videos and try to play the songs by ear or imitate your moves. Well... you've been an inspiration. You "taught" me to play lots of songs! (even though I can't play perfectly like you do, it's still a thing!) so, THANK YOU!
It's because Marioverehrer postet the Synthesia videos without Kyle's consent. Now he took them down and Kyle reposted them on his own Synthesia channel. Just look up "Piano Tutorials by Kyle Landry".
It makes you feel fantastic and awful at the same time. Fantastic because you are able to listen to this and awful because you wonder if you will ever get there by yourself. Well, you wonder how old you will have grown until you would be able to play only few of the pieces you want to play. And with just a tiny bit of the expression which you hear in this Medley.
Do you just sit down and start reading straight from the sheet music, or do you practice slowly to learn the piece first, then just use the sheets as a rough guide of where you are in the piece?
Dan Spats That's how all these great pianists including Kyle get so good. I'm sure he spends hours a day practicing. No matter how talented you are, or if you can play music by ear you are only still as good as much as you play. You may be a talented music reader or something but hand strength and memory are only acquired from hours of practice. So I am sure Kyle plays huge amounts to be as good as he is.
dude piano is so difficult, it's not possible for someone to sightread perfectly on this kind of a song, now other songs are easy to sightread like Chopsticks but at this magnitude of difficulty it is almost impossible.
the moment that melody touch my ears, it's like memories flowing back, sitting in the tiny bedroom with my cousin watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secret
You are definitely a musical prodigy. I am here studying for psychology listening to your music and I can't even concentrate on studying because you are just too amazing. :D
That poor keyboard... seriously though I'm literally sitting here with my mouth hanging open. I love that you made this medley! I love Harry Potter and the piano and you combined them. Almost perfectly I might add. Thank you! I bow down to piano greatness
How nice...... I stopped study to listen your piano. I think your Harry Potter piano is better than any other Harry Potter piano. Thank you for your playing.
You're a wizard, Kyle.

4:25 always makes me cry. I don't know why but it makes me sad...
Me too...
+Sirlie08 Maybe Phoenix from a film :)
I think it was used during the Hagrid and Hermione reunion at the end of Chamber of secrets, that's why it's emotional for me
+Sirlie08 God YES! TT
At first I was like, "Oh my God who's going to listen 13 minutes just music" and then when it ended "Nooooooo!I want more!!!" lol :)
Listening to music can be very relaxing, and for people like me, who also plays piano I find it quite interesting :)
Mille Prahl I am thinking everbody here either plays paino or wants to play I in that case play
I play too xD
the piano shakes with fear from your mighty hands of music deliverance.

I'm glad to see a good pianist who needs sheet music. It gives me faith in myself
Can we have the sheet music... please?
His synth was literally quivering in awe of his skill.
I like the shadows your hands cast, gives it more of a 'magical' feel.
Emotional, powerful, beautifully played... thanks for this Kyle
Teacher in music class offers the piano to the room.
This guy awkwardly shuffles to the front and volunteers shyly.
"I'll try, but I'm not very good....."
Then he does this.
I always wanted to do sth like that and I'm gonna do it
You tree you do not have see it I you’re e
Your piano can't handle your awesome playing xD
I had a keyboard but now I have a baby grand Kawai; YOU TOTALLY DESERVE A PIANO, NOT A KEYBOARD!!!!! That was AMAZING!!! I am completely obsessed with Harry Potter, so I got the whole book of songs!
His keyboard is shaking..
I know! Dude, seriously! You're awesome!
I have watched this over and over again and am mesmerized every single time I listen/watch you play this. Keep it up and always looking forward to listening to your new stuff.

I have never heard an electric keyboard sound so good, OMG just think if that was played on an Fazoli 9' Grand!!!!!!!!

"better" piano? These Yamaha Stage Pianos are the best thing you can buy without strings and they're much smaller ;) but of course...a real Grand Piano is the peak of perfection...

Goose bumps, just goose bumbs.
Well done man !
This is the best I've felt in ages. This song triggers a heck lot of good memories.
ALL OF THE FEELS STARTED FOR ME AT 11:44
*sniffle* But honestly, thank you for the lovely trip down memory lane, and my childhood. You're utterly amazing.

It's a shame more people don't listen to music like this more often. This kind of music is just incredible.
i feel soo untalented listening to this TT-TT( i cry every time)
You have four eyes???
if you count glasses sure!
Fawkes the Phoenix and Buckbeak's flight right after one another almost had me crying
I'm grinning like a fool right now. Your music will never cease to amaze me, and combined with Harry Potter, you've made my evening exponentially better.

this called Artikulation and Dynamik
I also don't know how it doesn't end up on fire either by the amount of speed he does haha (just kidding) lol
+Epic_Minecraft_Legends _ Fuck physics.
Kyle Landry must have such hench arms to play the piano for nearly 15 minutes long! I can barely play for 5 minutes without my arms aching like crazy!
You get used to it. Play pieces which are slightly too easy for you for a long time than start to ramp up the difficulty so that your arms start to build stamina.
Just keep playing! Your arms get used to it, and I think he plays so much that it doesent bother him anymore :)
Haha i dont think ill ever be that good, i dont have lessons anymore! Still would be so awesome to play like him tho haha

I feel like I should be standing up and applauding you. That was incredible! So magical.
12:50 - 12:58 The lighting becomes brighter and it's perfect
That actually held my attention for all 13:49, great job!
Fakes the Phoenix is my favorite!
Sorry, that was a typo.
I was going to comment that this is nostalgic, but then I'm even more obsessed with HP than I was younger so maybe that's not the appropriate word ;p
that is amazing. i have played the piano for so many years and i heard so many other people play and i have never heard anything so beautiful. :)
This is the first video that I saw of you Kyle, and I've never looked back. Glad to be a subscriber and a daily watcher of your videos. Your playing is so relaxing and makes me wish I had never stopped learning the piano.... still, summer plans to actually be able to play something. when its over, stand up and walk out like a BOSSSSSSS!
2:28 never heard a piano sound so epic
I'm re-reading the books, I will have this on the background while I do!
"Window to the Past" I simply can't explain how much I love that piece. Mr. John Williams is a genius.
This should have at least 2 million views, I'm in love with this song!
8 years later and we're at 1.86 million. Not far to go now :)
I love Chris Columbus for making Harry potter 1 and 2 with this kind of music. Btw extremely well played.
This guys is a fcking genius ... someone give him a cookie !
you are the 1st pianist i've seen plying a electric piano while sitting on a office chair ...
I'm playing on an office chair too xD
@@omethics tbh as long as the height is right then it's fine just don't hurt your back lol
Kyle, you're my hero. Can we please get this video more recognition?!? It deserves like 20,000 million hits.

ITS HERMIONE!!!
You mean she isn't?
Ahh... how i love the harry potter series. :D
so much passion. wow. and the silent parts so sensitive
This medley and your Pearl Harbor medley will forever be my favorites of your videos.
The synthesia tutorial of this video has 4 million views. Something is wrong here.
+John Ny EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED TO SAY! :D
+John Ny cause if someone want to learn it must see tutorial many times ;) so one person can make dozens-hundreds views :)
+John Ny Indeed. I've spent some time learning Howl's Moving Castle, and you keep rewatching parts, or the whole video many, many times.
I can't find that now, along with Pirates of the Caribbean :(
It's because Marioverehrer postet the Synthesia videos without Kyle's consent. Now he took them down and Kyle reposted them on his own Synthesia channel. Just look up "Piano Tutorials by Kyle Landry".

It's OK :)
Do you just sit down and start reading straight from the sheet music, or do you practice slowly to learn the piece first, then just use the sheets as a rough guide of where you are in the piece?
come on even the mighty Kyle Landry couldn't sight read this at full speed. everyone, no matter how good, has to build up to learning things
bluesteelsaxophone
You have no idea how much better that makes me feel about myself right now.
Dan Spats That's how all these great pianists including Kyle get so good. I'm sure he spends hours a day practicing. You may be a talented music reader or something but hand strength and memory are only acquired from hours of practice. So I am sure Kyle plays huge amounts to be as good as he is.
Trust me I've spend hours on end trying to learn the first ten minutes of this right now I'm on my twelfth day and finally got past buckbeak a flight
dude piano is so difficult, it's not possible for someone to sightread perfectly on this kind of a song, now other songs are easy to sightread like Chopsticks but at this magnitude of difficulty it is almost impossible.
I'm crying right now. This is so magical
the moment that melody touch my ears, it's like memories flowing back, sitting in the tiny bedroom with my cousin watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secret

Voldemort created this 90 accounts just to dislike the video. ;)
