Coach Willow Tote vs Tory Burch Perry Tote - which one is better?

- Hi friends! It’s been awhile since I had a chance to make a video! I wanted to do a comparison of two totes I wear to work. The Willow Tote by Coach and the Perry Tote by Tory Burch. They are very similar in size and price… but I do have a strong preference for one over the other!
Let me know your thoughts on these totes and if you have a brand/style you love that I should check out!

Just got my willow coach, i love it. I like tory burch too but if you put small things inside the bag it can slip underneath the middle compartment. Willow tote, they stitched the middle compartment so none will slip underneath the bag.
I have been debating between these two bags, so thank you for this video!

I finally settled on the Perry tote in black. It retails at £425 here in the UK. But I managed to find it on sale elsewhere, so yay!

I have the Tory bag and they just recently started adding those slip pockets in them. I wish I had the version with the slip pockets because they seem super useful
I didn’t realize the pockets are a new addition! They are definitely helpful to tuck small items in!

I’m so glad my review was helpful! I absolutely love the Perry - it’s a 10/10 for while the Coach Willow really was quite a disappointment. I noticed that TB puts their seasonal colors on sale - I was hoping to see black or tan on sale but so far not yet. ☺️
I've been eyeing the Coach Willow and Mollie as well as Tory Burch Perry as my next work tote for awhile. Thank you for pointing out those indentations. I didn't know the Willow would bow out like that over time. I've seen reviews on the Mollie (if we were to compare them of the same brand and similar style) and it doesn't give the same effect as the Willow. I think it could be due to how the Willow is significantly stitched in at the sides. I wouldn't want that.
I like the new Perry, but am still contemplating between these two brands. Ah.. Decisions, decisions. 😅
The Mollie has a lot of similarities with the TB Perry but I don’t have one myself! The Willow started indenting from the first time I wore it. It’s possible that I carry too much in it - but I’d expect a work bag to be built for that!

I've been thinking of to buy a coach willow tote lately , I really like the idea they kinda hide the logo inside the bag, but now..hmm..
I have the exact Coach Willow bag and mine doesn't have the corners issue(indentation) like yours, maybe yours is a one off faulty one?

I dont have a scale but based on just feel, I think the coach tote is lighter!
I have the coach bag and it does that really annoying bulge that never goes away!! it then loses its shape and falls over because of it, no matter what i do i cannot get rid of that bulge

It has worn remarkably well - scuffs rub off without an issue and it’s held it’s structure perfectly! It’s a truly great tote!

Mulberry bayswater tote is lovely and super rare in the US as in you'll likely be the only person wearing it.
Wow, I just looked it up and it is super gorgeous! But there are two versions of it. The one that folds over top and the other is just plain tote bag, like the Tory Burch one.

I use an app called Stylebook. I think it was $2.99 to download and I track my clothes, bags and accessories using it everyday!
What’s the size of your laptop? Do you think it would fit 15 inches MacBook?
My laptop is 13 in . A 15 in would fit in the TB Perry tote but not in the middle compartment… it would have to go in one of the sides just because of the zipper.

It’s definitely possible that the price has increased since I filmed this video - I know other brands have gone up recently! I like to hold out for the sales but usually only the seasonal colors get discounted.
Yes it did! I recently purchased it in brown and it was $500 after taxes. For the size of it and quality the bag is worth it, but yes it did go up.
If you are looking for seasonal colors (anything not black, brown or gray) then wait for a sale!

hi! will a 14 inch laptop fit the willow tote? thank you!
Unfortunately no it would not fit. The dimensions of the bag are 13.5 in long. I have a 13 in lap top and it fits but not in the center pocket due to the zipper. The Perry tote would fit a 14 inch though.

The coach handles tear off within a year … and if you go to the store they do nothing about it cause warranty is only for a year … please don’t buy the coach. Really poor quality.

Which one is lighter (empty)? I already take a look at the Coach one in-store but not the TB, so I can't compare the weight (I don't have TB store nearby 🥲). I will get the lighter one LOL. I like both 😍
I totally got on a scale with each one to see because they feel a lot alike…. But the coach is lighter by about a pound! Hope that helps you decide! Both are great!
