Not really correct way to change that fluid bud, that is per manual. Changing A/T fluid on m45 as follows: 1. Warm up A/T fluid. 2. Stop engine. 3. Loosen the level gauge bolt. 4. Drain A/T fluid from drain plug and refill with new A/T fluid. Always refill same volume with drained fluid. ● To replace the A/T fluid, pour in new fluid at the charging pipe with the engine idling and at the same time drain the old fluid from the radiator cooler hose return side. ● When the color of the fluid coming out is about the same as the color of the new fluid, the replacement is complete. The amount of new transmission fluid to use should be 30 to 50% increase of the stipu- lated amount.
Hello greetings, I have an Infinity M56S, 2012. It currently has an approximate 52,000 miles I would like to make a transmission oil change. Call the Nissan and they told me that their service includes oil change and a flushing. But my doubt is if they make the oil change if they use a commercial type oil or if the vehicle carries a specific oil because I am very jealous with my car and it has never given me problems of any kind. Thank you
Hello. Typically they just use Nissan Matic-S, which is what an Infiniti dealership would use as well. They might use cheap engine oil, but shops rarely take chances with transmissions. I don't like that the dealership you spoke to talked about a flush, but maybe it's just the way they are calling it - flushing a transmission is not advised. In my area, Infiniti charged me less to do this transmission fluid service than the Nissan dealer wanted
My m45 does this weird thing In 1 gear, if you starting from a stop it kinda revs up before it engages, and it’s not a smooth takeoff, fluids are good, any ideas
Bro. Thanks for your video I have 07 M35. I only got 3.7l cold. A guy at the shop wanted to help while i was away put litterally put 6qts in there. He claimed he checked the level but i think he got something wrong. When I check at operating temp, the level is waY higher than the highest max indicated by the dip stick. Note: based on that, shifting gear, when the trans operating temp is still cold or warming up, gives a Jerk feeling. However, when it reaches room temp, it is as smooth as if the level was normal. I plan to drain 2 out of the 6qts he put in so it can leave me at 4qts which is close from the 3.7-3.8qts i initially drained out. Some people say too much does not hurt but i believe it can mess up seals and valve body components. Your input / insight is very appreviated
Oh yeah, transmission fluid can be a little tricky. Too much and you might end up turning it frothy, so it's a good idea to try and get it to the correct level. I usually measure, drain, refill, measure again. Check out this video ruclips.net/video/QR1AV_jVxA8/видео.html
@@EdBwoy I aimed at draining the 2.3qts and actually drained 2.5qts upon measuring then shifted through gear. Same strong feeling when cold that becomes normal when at normal temp. I know there is a difference because this is my 2nd 07 Y50 blk on blk at this moment. I went ahead and took it for a 30mn ride. It was shifting fine.
@@DFWAuto_Hack I have 220000 km on my 06 m35x and I been noticing the same thing this year that when car is cold the tranny shifts hard or jerks depending how cold the weather is outside until the car reaches operating temp and it shifts smooth. I have never drained the tranny fluid since i got the car back 2015. What do you think I should do? Should I stick to just drain and fill as I heard flushing a transmission that hasn't been serviced in a while can lead to more trouble.
I'm doing ok, thanks for checking. I haven't had any issues to address, and also a very limited time to make videos. We'll be back in due time - big projects underway

Thanks for the video! How often would you take the pan down and change the filter? My M45 has 220k and I don't know when the last time the filter was changed.
I typically don't do that for various reasons. Transmission disassembly leaves room for more trouble than just leaving it alone. 2, I have taken a few transmissions apart at various mileages and the filters don't show any significant loss of performance at higher mileages. If anything, I'd get an external filter
@@carlpatrick9102 I personally do a drain and fill when the car is cold. Transmission fluid expands when hot so you may measure wrong what came out of the car if the fluid is warm. The new fluid in the bottle is not warm so I would wait until it is cooled off. EdBwoy does a great job explaining it in this video. ruclips.net/video/XqIP3pISbnQ/видео.htmlsi=S_fdE6Z49vnts56D&t=417

There surely can be more than one way to get fresh fluid into a transmission. Some are more complicated than others.
Thanks for the info as always! Where do we refill the fluid at?
Do u advise using lucas transmission fix too?
Hi is the pan cover steel or plastic? and cheers for video, Paul.
It's steel.
Thanks for the support

Infiniti is insane. I called to have them Do my transmission filter & fluid change $410.
Usually cheaper for a regular drain and fill
That’s for my new m37. I want to do my own drain and fill. Is the fill plug at the bottom of the pan? And if so what would be a good tool to fill?
My m45 does this weird thing In 1 gear, if you starting from a stop it kinda revs up before it engages, and it’s not a smooth takeoff, fluids are good, any ideas
It sounds like it's slipping. Are there no codes? A dealership can usually diagnose issues like this with their proprietary tools.
Thr 2006 m45. Any engine covers for sale?
Yes, I do have an M45 engine cover. Please email me at *edbwoy@**gmail.com*
What fluid type are you using and brand
I use Matic S from Nissan most times, but I also like the Valvoline Maxlife Dex/Merc
@@EdBwoy thank you sir

Off topic..... what is the p0455 on my 06 m45
A gross leak in your evap system. It could be as simple as a loose/missing gas cap, to any of 10 other possibilities.

@@orthoking2722 yes my friend, drain and fill only. Measure what comes out and fill it in with the same amount
I have done mine twice now and I only get 4.5 qaurts. Why is that?
Maybe how the car is angled. If you raise it level (front-back) you won't drain much
@@EdBwoy Hmm. I have always just jacked up the front only. Do you need to pull the dip stick out first so it releases pressure mayby?
I don't think the dipstick holds any significant pressure.
If you raise the front, make sure the drain is still on the lowest side.
U alright? More m56 videos please

Yes! As long as you replace the same quantity you took out, it should be fine.
