It was introduced in Series 1, from episode 5. Used in many of the key games (the fan I think your meaning). It was also used in the dark challenge when they reach the light & body. It then officially started as the opening credits from series 2 onwards, which is when it became popular.
I imagine what happened was that it was decided the original theme tune, used for Series 1, sounded outdated and not 'edgy' enough for getting the programme going. They'd only used it as it was used in the French series at the time. The Dance Version was available on the same published CD I believe, and the editorial team thought it suited the series better, so used it from Series 2 onwards. There were more noticeable original ideas that differed from the French series from the second UK series onwards, so it became much more of its own show from 1999.
@@jsmith8633 I definitely prefer the French version in terms of graphics & music. The UK sometimes used terrible music choices for some of the adventures.
Remember this when I was about 12-13 lol. Almost 30 now. Time has flown!
can remember watching this on channel 5 every Friday night. Miss the good old days :(
Your not wrong at all. My sister and I will come back after swimming lessons and my mum will make us dinner and we will watch it.
Melinda Messenger. The classic 90s kid’s first crush.

I was surprised but i heard the Series 4 theme tune on a teamwork game from Series 1 and I thought it switched to Series 4 very quickly.

I guess that must be why they started using that theme from the later series (except series 5). It was the fan game where I heard it.
