Thanks. This is motivation for me. A new cover is needed but not in budget. And I have a wool sweater also some fleece that needs to be used. Not sure I could free hand so I'd have to use the Katrina pattern.

Do you need to have felted the sweater before you sew it? I have an old wool sweater but I'm worried it will unravel when I cut it.

My only addition is I would have doubled it by cutting out the diaper again on the other side of the sweater. Or cut a doubler to add an extra layer of protection to the crotch.
Otherwise this is well done.
