Great Trayvax Review, i enjoy there products, i got all the Travax wallets, till today i haven't had no issues with the wallets, i enjoy them very much. i have called their customer service, they respond super quickly. great treatment, over all, my personal experience, great company, high quality products, great customer service, and shipping super fast. i have no complaints. love your Review, thank you for sharing your video.very professional.
I have the exact wallet but in Mississippi mud. 6+ years edc the grommet would come loose and let my cards fly out. 6$ for shipping thet redid the leather paracord and rivets. And let me choose new leather color alas I went with Mississippi mud.
+Florida Urban Homesteading On Trayvax's website, they claim that all of their wallets are made out of steel. The Trayvax website also claims that each and every one of their steel wallets offer RFID resistance. In the Media/News section of their website they go to some length describing tests that they performed that demonstrate that the Element, specifically, offers RFID resistance.
Out of all of the wallets they make the element is my favorite design. The wallet I use now is an RFID blocking wallet and since the element isn't I don't know if I it bothers me because I wouldn't know of the blocking aspect in my current wallet ever went to use. My fear is the minute I get this wallet ill run into an issue that having an RFID blocking wallet would have been a better decision. Any thoughts or advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the review!
Trayvax has done RFID blocking wallets but the element isn't one of them. I have plans on buying the original and the summit, which are both RFID blocking, and review them. I have also seen some RFID blocking card sheaths that you could put your cards in and still use the Element wallet. Hope this helps.
+Florida Urban Homesteading awesome thank you! I've not heard of many issues with people who don't have RFID blocking wallets so I'm not sure how great a threat it is to not have that. I mean I could just simply get the original model wallet but I'm a big fan of that tobacco brown leather. It's a tough decision to make. Sort of a function before fashion choice. Thanks for the swift response.
+11bangbang402 What makes you think that the Trayvax Element doesn't offer RFID blocking? On their web site Trayvax claims that the Element does come with RFID blocking.
When this review was made their website didn't reflect that it was RFID blocking. That has since been changed and commented on and addressed here a few times. The video is only as current as the day it was recorded.
Great video, I haven't seen this before but it seems really great. Question: besides style, what is the purpose of the ridges along the bottom of the frame?
+culinsame I don't know if the ridges are intentional or the product of the milling process but, having it in my front pocket, I have found that it makes it a lot easier to grasp and pull out of my pocket.
I have used this wallet as my daily wallet since the day the video was created. As stated in the video, I use it as a front pocket wallet instead of back pocket but that is for my comfort. I haven't had it come open unless I opened it and the cards or cash have never fallen out. The cards still slide in and out easily and the leather has turned a great shade of darker brown from use. I am still greatly impressed by this wallet and we'll be buying the Summit and Original Trayvax to try as well and review.
+Florida Urban Homesteading thanks a lot for the reply. I'm glad to hear it's holding up. I saw Trayvax is going to have a black Friday sale and I'm planing on buying an Element. Your review is by far the best one I could find on any Trayvax product. I hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving.
+Justin Leonard the big metal card was something called a card ninja. I found it online for 2.99$ plus S&H. I'm sure they're still available if you look
Actually "Wallet Ninja". You say it right the first time you mention it in the video, and not a "card ninja". Apparently that's something else. walletninja.com Thanks for the review! It helped point out a few things (like needing to soak and "prep" the leather) that I was not aware of.
Please note that their website clearly states the element is RFID blocking. www.trayvax.com/collections/element-collection/products/element-tobacco-brown Perhaps Heather Ruff can confirm? Great review, btw
do u ever have trouble with cards sticking together when ur trying to thumb through them? also can u slide only a couple bills out that u need and keep the rest in the clip or do u have to take them all out when u need them?
I had troubles sliding cards in and out because I tried to stuff in more cards than I originally had when I wet the leather. After I went back to the original number of cards it worked fine. The bills are really an all or nothing thing with this wallet because of the way the money folds in the back. The good thing is the unused folded money slides back in so easily after it is removed because it keeps its shape. Thanks for watching the video!
well since you had your trayvex element for a while now how is it holding up? have you had any issues with it? if you take a card or 2 out will the rest of them just fall out? and how has the lock held up?
It has been a great wallet to date. It is holding up better than expected and I don't foresee any issues with it. I took a card out of the wallet which left the other cards loose but I was able to soak the wallet in warm water again and get it to mold to the new number of cards that I have in it. It did turn out to be a front pocket wallet for me because of back issues but I'm sure others could use it in their back pockets or hanging from a belt.
From the Trayvax website: "The Trayvax Element is a men's wallet made for your everyday carry. It’s tough enough for the job site, but stylish enough for date night. Our flagship product brings together American-sourced, oil-tanned leather and stainless steel for a fresh take on an everyday essential made entirely in the USA with RFID resistance. Backed by a lifetime warranty, this is the last wallet you'll ever need." Clearly didn't do your homework as the Element is RFID resistant. Additionally the new design makes the bottle opener usable without the need to remove money, or cards.
Euro coins or notes? With notes, it should work the same. it appears to be card size based, and not note size based. I'd probably risk it if I were you.

Y'all keep getting stuff made in America. I'm going to get one soon.
I never saw one of those before. What a great gift. I love that you can see all the cards in the window. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic Review all the necessary information non of the bull well done
Great video! How is the wallet still holding up? any problems or dislikes?

can you do a updated view on the wear and tear of your trayvax? are you carrying it everyday?
I sent them a FB message and they said that the Element is RFID blocking. It is also stated on the page it is RFID blocking.
I also sent them a message and they told me that most of their wallets are RFID blocking but not the element because it was a steel wallet.

+Florida Urban Homesteading thanks for the quick reply! Improving grip for retrieval from pocket makes a lot of sense, glad it is working out for you!
Very good review. I'm wondering now that you have had it for a little while have you had any issues with it coming open when you didn't want it to?

PLEASE REPLY: I just got the same wallet. Where did the big metal card u took out come from???

Does the bottle opener work without having to remove all the cards?
Does the rivet scratch the top card?

I'm with you on the back thing. I thing it is wise to use a front wallet.
I ended up going with the Trayvax axis and I've been happy with it so far I've had it about 6 months

Do u think 14 cards can fit after the warm water
Terrelle Smith I have 11 cards in mine now and it looks like more could fit.
+Terrelle Smith I've gotten as much as 15 cards after soaking the leather again. It did make it harder to slide the cards out but completely doable.
2 minutes in and the review of the card board box just finished.
Wanted to be thorough :) Everything is potentially useful.
Soy del estado de. Chiapas México como le puedo Aser para comprar una cartera así como esa
This is RFID ready it says so on the trayvax website
Because of the leather or the thin steel. the steel has to be a complete shell to offer appreciable RFID blocking.
Or have cards facing body and metal facing outward.
Website says this is RFID
Watch the rivet it will scratch your chip cards if the card is put in wrong.
Don't know what is the hip of slim wallet?? if you just want to carry cards and bills and go slim, just get a big fat silicon band will do the job!
now thats a review
anyone tried this thing with €uros?
what's your experience?
Euro coins or notes? With notes, it should work the same. it appears to be card size based, and not note size based. I'd probably risk it if I were you.
+@ffec+ Already ordered one, thx for the reply,
should arrive next week.
I heard a cat meow

Dude, clean your finger nails

I'll take that into consideration.
