A growing number of Chinese migrants have been trying to reach the US via a relatively new and hazardous route in Central America that has been publicised on social media. They first fly to Ecuador, which does not require visas for Chinese nationals. Then they head north through Panama's Darien Gap jungle to reach the US-Mexico border. They then turn themselves in to US authorities to lodge their asylum claims. According to Panamanian authorities, Chinese citizens were the fourth-largest group crossing the Darien Gap during the first nine months of 2023.

I was born in Indonesia, and no matter how hard my life is, I would not take the risk of immigrating to another country illegally. When I watched this video, I thought to myself, this must be a vintage video, filmed in the 1990s.
If you have a large amount of debt that cannot be repaid through work, for example, gambling debts and stock market bankruptcies. More Chinese are going to Southeast Asia to engage in fraud, and it is better to take risks than starve to death.

I live in U.S., I used to hated Chinese coming illegally. But, after I watched TV reported there are over millions illegal immigrant (merely this year) have entered U.S.A. This is obviously staged false news. The guy who claims to be a farmer and that the Chinese government acquired his farmland cheaply doesn't appear like a farmer at all; he looks like an educated city person who is well fed and has a decent life; he has better skin than fashion models'.
The person who sang "Hallelujah" spoke English far too well for an average Chinese; he's probably already living in the United States and has much English-speaking experience; any Chinese who can speak English as well as him can easily find a very well-paying job in China.
My guess is that the US government is fabricating this news to falsely paint China is in deep economic trouble and that a large number of people are unemployed, but anyone who watches some real unedited videos of China recently posted by foreigners in China can see that China is still busy and that mega malls are springing up everywhere.
Then there's the recent business news that numerous well-known American companies, like KFC, Popeyes, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and many more, are setting up tens of thousands of new outlets in China. If China's economy is so poor, why are American multinational firms expanding their outlets in China? And, given China's high unemployment rate, why do they need to pay greater wages to attract workers?
Because, Latinos are more closely related to Europeans by blood, language, culture, customs, traditions, and religion. Compared to Asians, Arabs and some blacks.

There's a little fact that most people don't know: the US immigration judge always takes a grain of salt off what these Chinese asylum seekers say in their cases because a lot of them go back to China to travel after obtaining US citizenship. That tells you something about the validity of their claims of being persecuted in China.

They can work at chinese restaurants for the mean time that’s where most of them work at for under paid jobs but eventually once all documents are approved and they deposit money in banks they can get credit cards and build credit where eventually they can buy big things like a small business or a house I’ve worked with many chinese immigrants for 17 years at the the restaurants I use to work at along side with Hispanics I’ve seen the success they’re able to achieve they’re not lazy people .

For those confused about this let me explain.
First of all China is still a developing nation. While many have made money there's still millions of people in rural China that are very poor.
Of these rural people many try to make money in the big Chinese cities but not all can and there's a hukou system that places limits on these migrant workers. Even once they get in they may make very little money doing the entry level jobs like restaurant worker or construction workers or cleaners etc. With a huge population of 1.4 billion the competition is very tough and the work is tough and the hours are long.
On the other side is the US where minimum wage for unskilled jobs are almost as high as a professional worker in China. Next year I think California fast food workers can make $20 USD an hour!
Since many of these Chinese migrant worker class people are from the rural areas anyway this Latin American trek to the USA probably isn't all that tough compared to back home anyway so they are willing to risk it in order to be instantly elevated from poverty class to professional worker level pay just like that without education.
Once they reach the US they will claim asylum saying Chinese govt abuse them and the US govt loves this kind of story of Chinese abuse so they are taken in with open arms and potentially get new Democrat voters.
To sum it up everyone benefits with this situation.
Chinese restaurants in the US get the restock of fake Chinese cooks in bad Chinese American restaurants and the American peoples greasy mouths are happy. The US govt is happy to have more China govt bad mouthers. The Chinese illegal worker is happy to have shorter work hours and 4 times the pay. The workers families in China gets a US paycheck money sent in the mail is also happy. Finally China itself is also happy cuz it reduces the amount of city over crowding and reduces the amount of unskilled people dragging society down. See? Everyone is happy! 😂

Some of these people fled to the U.S. because they owed large amounts of money from failed businesses or investments in China, and many of them had borrowed all the money they could from friends, relatives, and banks before coming to the U.S. There are also criminals who flee to the U.S. before they are wanted by the Chinese police. Then there are those who came to the U.S. simply because they longed for America. Brainwashed by the Western media to hate China, they sell all their family assets and then illegally immigrate to the United States, a paradise in their eyes.

Most of these Chinese migrants would claim political persecution as the reason for leaving China. However, if you ask them whether they support Taiwan independence, 9 out 10 will fiercely argue against it. In their point of view, it is absolutely righteous for themselves to enter the US illegally to pursue their freedom, but it is sinful for the Taiwanese population wanting to live freely outside the ruling of Beijing dictatorship.

@@schivver Having paid officers at a Mexico airport to check for Visas on a passport is different than having officers check for Visas on the ground. Most Mexican officers will not care because the Chinese are just passing through Mexico not trying to stay. So it's not their problem. Why make more unnecessary work for yourself if they soon will be in America. The ones at the airport are a different story they HAVE to check or lose their jobs.

I don't get this at all. These migrants all have passports or they wouldn't have been able to fly to Ecuador. Why not just go to a US consulate and get a 10-year multiple entry visa, like almost 3 million of their countrymen? So much less dangerous, cheaper, and all-around less hassle. If they can't get a visa it means that the US finds them undesirable for some reason, so what makes them think they will get asylum? Something really strange is going on here and the press is not investigating or asking the right questions.

I don’t get why they would want to go to the US, honestly why? Cost of living is high and the pay (minimum wage) is so low. There’s so much shooting and crime , racial tensions, economical, social and political issues and possibly the worst healthcare system in the developed world to boot.

asylum laws need to change such that most of these people have to claim asylum in the first country that they set foot in outside of their own country. In the case of these Chinese they need to claim asylum in Ecuador not pick and choose where they want to stay.

I think American citizens should stop complaining. If you have ever been to the United States, the country is enormous. The United States has never had a problem with sending their troops overseas and sticking their nose in another country's business while helping themselves to that country's resources [Iraq-oil] The migrant issue is similar to the homeless issue. It could be sorted out overnight if they redirected some of their defence budget funds and military resources. I lived in Canada for many years and never made enough money to ever consider myself comfortable middle-class. North Americans have enjoyed cheap imports and cheap labour for decades and live a lifestyle those in impoverished nations can only dream of. Migrants wouldn't be bothered trying to cross the border if they were paid a decent wage in their own country. There are many youtube videos of Americans who relocated to Mexico and bragging that they can afford cheap and effective dental & medical care, cheap rent, with servants and cleaners to cater to their every need.
