Great rack. I have the NV 2.0 version. Secures our ebikes perfectly. Only potential issue is ground clearance entering or exiting steep driveways or parking lots depending on vehicle hitch height with the extra length of the rack. That can be a problem for most hitch racks though.
i have the nv 2.0 and i love it. im more interested in floor rack where the nv sits as shown 38 seconds into the video. it looks cleaner than sitting on my garage floor. where can i get one of those? thanks
I'm curious as to why no one talks about legality of obscuring your license plate The NV 2.0 can certainly do that. Not that you are promoting a sales, but it might be good to warn folks of the possibility of a ticket. Especially for anyone that doesn't continually install and remove the rack
It doesn't look like the rack obscures the plate of the car in the video. If you are worried, kuat sells a license plate bracket for this rack. Also, removing the plate and attaching it to your bike with a zip tie would likely suffice. Many cars in my state don't even have a license plate due to the stupid laws.
@keilmillerjr9701 So here is something to consider. While you can, in some cases say the plate can be seen, there are a lot where the plate is obscured. There is a law that says you can't obscure any portion of your plate. GRANTED lots of cops ignore the plate, but they could easily stop and write you a ticket. But let's follow your suggestion and move the plate. At the point you do so, you may be setting yourself up for a ticket d or not having your rear plate illuminated. You do know it's against the law in the rain and in the dark to not have your plate with a light source on it? So if a rookie decides he needs to write a ticket, then the cyclist will make a good target. BTW, I have the Kuat plate adapter and lights for my rack. Actually, I have a. spare plate adapter, which is slightly defective. Kuat was cool enough to replace my first one, and didn't ask me to send them two month old one back. A company by the way that has great customer service.
Hello. There are other racks that are suited for bikes with fenders, such as the Thule Thule EasyFold XT or Yakima OnRamp, see them here: www.rackattack.com/hitch-bike-racks/yakima-onramp/ www.rackattack.com/hitch-bike-racks/thule-easyfold-xt-hitch-bike/ Thanks!
Kuat says to fill the space between the fender and tire with a piece of pool noodle or a folded piece of old inner tube to support the fender. Works great with our Gazelle ebikes that have fenders
The combo above raises one concern: Is the tailpipe too close to the NV when it's in the stowed position? In fact this model Subaru has dual exhaust, which affects both the metal tray side with wheel clip and the cradle side with plastic insert. Can you include this type of issue in your reviews and the solutions for it? I presume a Kuat Hi/Lo might solve it but you're missing an opportunity to add value to your videos and prevent customers from damaging their racks and perhaps their bikes.

Thanks for sharing
Anyone with a Subaru - get an OEM hitch. Aftermarket ones are lower.

How do you adjust and level the rack.
Hello. The rack platform will be level with the vehicle with no adjustments.
How do you deal with a bike that has a front fender? Can you secure on the frame instead of the front tire?

Hello. Thanks for the helpful suggestion!
Is the Kuat access ramp compatible with the NV Base? Or just the NV?
Hello. It's compatible with the NV 2.0 Base as well. Thanks!
