You’re absolutely right on simplifying woodworking. All the fancy crap out there gets expensive. Wood working should be about making stuff. Sometimes you need a way to make it! Keep being creative and simple my friend!

Great explanation of how to make and use these jigs! I built a jig like yours when we did the shelf competition, couldn't have done it without that jig. These will come in handy as hell when I set up my new shop after moving. Thanks my friend for your help and inspiration!

Thank you for your simple explanations. I loved making furniture 40 years ago, and am getting back into the shop now. I've always struggled with jigs, and can see making each of these in my new shop. You have a way of teaching that I really relate to, and I leave each of your videos feeling confident. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you give. I know it's making a difference in many people's lives.

My jointer/taper jig is about 4' long with 3 t track. I use it mostly for getting 1 square jointed edge on rough stock. I also use it for flattering one face in a thickness planer. I use shims and hot glue to hold the board.

Great builds and you can't beat a duel purpose jig in a small shop setting. I think the combination taper/jointer jig is the most useful thing I own for my table saw. I was fortunate enough to get a pre-made version as a gift, but I know I'll probably wear it out and have to build my own someday.

I apologize for side comment but got a commercial about adoption of animals. These companies are stupid. I love dogs and want one but I am responsible enough to know as a single person that works heavy hours, I can’t take care of a dog or cat in manner they need. I maybe a small pop of your viewers but much heavier than some organizational channel. Sorry I needed to say it. Your content is normally awesome and this video was and know you don’t control RUclips extras. Great ideas or ways to do things on a spin. Btw. You use “burn” a lot. I know what it means. Idk if your whole audience knows. It’s like me do a horizontal or diagonal motion through the air as I work on a property while calling a measurement. Many don’t get it. Or spinning up or downwards figure suggestion with people that haven’t dealt with a crane op.

Brother, I appreciate your videos, but can you please use a push stick for your table saw when you're making these tutorials? I cringe every time I see your fingers get really close to the blade. Plus it sets a bad example to the beginners. Just food for thought. Love your channel though.
