Thank you for that tip Moses. I want to get white sapote in the not too distant future and ill make sure to do that. Have a blessed day and stay safe :)
I was supposed to upload my video on the update on them but too much going on today... I’m gonna do it tomorrow. They are pushing a lot of growth and setting a lot of fruit.
Zaatar Gardens I understand that staying busy. Look forward to seeing the video soon. Can’t wait for mine to get a nice height. I’m going upload a video soon that I filmed a few days ago of the White sapote.
What is the spacing on your trees in that area... I am planting a Sapote near several other trees- avocado and pawpaw- but am worried about size control... especially since it is evergreen and will cast shade on the neighboring trees. Read that they can get quite large and vigorous.
First they are not fast growers at all, secondly you could prune any tree to any size you want. most of my trees are 6 to 8 years old and they still are only 7 feet tall due to me pruning them in the late summer (after fruit is harvested) and in the winter.
have you even considered grafting other varieties on your white sapotes? it could be interesting to add new flavours and also extend the fruiting season

Yes, that and my cherimoya tree as well
i am looking forward to that video! and also to see what varieties you will try
We will see, especially for the cherimoya, since that is just the vigorous rootstock growing crazy.
I have a 12 years old white sapote growing from seed. It is over 10 feet tall but no fruit. How can you make the tree produces fruit?
Does tipping the tree help it to produces fruit?
It always seems as though flowers get produced on lateral branches not vertical ones (nearly all trees)
