Another awesome video! Glad your day improved and Lost Gravity warmed up. That is the coaster I’m most looking forward to when we eventually visit and Untamed obviously. Can’t believe how quiet the place looked. Seems like you came across plenty of friendly people which is nice to see ☺️
For sure. And those rides were definitely good. I guess I had higher expectations, probably coming from Efteling. Which in hindsight was probably unfair and tainted my view at the start of the day. Hope you get out there soon 😀
I find Walibi Holland totally atmosphereless. 50 years ago the parc started as Flevohof: The educational Flevohof, which focused on agriculture and livestock farming, later changed into the Walibi Flevo amusement park. It was already without atmosphere at that time and that has never changed. I think it feels cold and chilly and flat and poorly maintained.
its not a bad coaster because you've done one of the best in the world from the same manufacturers. it has a good place in Europe who lack RMC's and huge thrill rides until very recently.
I know. But it’s difficult not to compare to another one by the same manufacturer. If I hadn’t been on Iron Gwazi I’m sure I would have been more impressed. It’s like going to Disney Paris before or after Disney Orlando 😉
@18:37 I'm sure you already know, but Alton Towers had one of those called 'Ripsaw' about 25 years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the exact same ride, because it looks identical.
Condor was the first Vekoma SLC in the world it's the prototype, it's very rough but this coaster comes from early 1990's so this thing will never give riders a smooth ride.
local homepark goer here going with 365 unique rollercoasters. walibi holland is excelent if your goal is rollercoasters and have a fun place at the weekend for adults/families who love thrills over theming. how ever compared to the world the park is definetly not there yet. mid to bottom tier european scale yes. operations improved over a few years. also congrats on riding the first ever slc designed and constructed in the world ;)
I was there yesterday, Loved it, not too busy, great weather. At the end of the day all coasters were running optimum, but I have to say the food choice really sucks, it's just yuck!
Yes they need to warm up. Untamed is the coaster with the largest difference in ride experience between the front and the back for me. Row 11 is my favourite and at night where the 2nd half is in complete darkness. It doesn’t compare to a larger RMC such as Zadra. Goliath is a front row ride. Lost Gravity is just fun. It’s a 1 day park. Didn’t bother with Condor, the original SLC, as Untamed always had a smaller queue.
I was there last month, 32° on the day, my daughter and I had a brilliant time, straight on to the Boomarang when we walked in 😁 we also went to Efteling the following day to ride the python. My daughter is the same age as I was since I rode it last, a pretty surreal moment.
@@coaster_dad just had another view of your video, I missed out on a few rides because of restraints and having a dodgy knee, Goliath and Lost Gravity namely, my daughter went on own, whilst I walked away in shame. Currently enjoying your Efteling vlog with my little girl, spotting all the places we remember. Great videos, thank you.
I went in july, heaving until 3 when all the schools left but still had a brilliant time. Untamed lived up for me, got a back row later in the day and it was ridiculously good, so smooth as well. The restraints aren't the best but didn't distract me really. And honestly lost gravity is tied with untamed for me. Its so fun and comfortable with brillant elements. Goliath was a little bit underwhelming but the g force was really good. I think in places its a bit tacky like the entrance and round near the shot tower (which i always love) but a really good park in my opinion, staff overall were really nice as well. I thought the boomerand was horrendous though, one of the most uncomfortable rides ive ever had. Would definitely go back when the single rails are open
I was feeling disappointed that it's closed during November when I'm finally visiting Efteling. Watching the start of this video I was feeling a little better about it 😆
Once you have been to Efteling, every themepark in the Netherlands is a disappointment tbf. The park started out as Flevohof, then changed to Walibi Flevo, then it became Six Flags Holland, then Walibi World to end on Walibi Holland. A park changing it's name that often... not a good sign. Been there when it was Flevohof and when it was Walibi World but it was always a meh experience. Efteling is king. It used to be closely followed by Slagharen (formerly known as Ponypark Slagharen) but that is also not what it used to be anymore. Still better than Walibi though. Still I hope you had a great time in the park and in the Netherlands.
Enjoyed your video, when do you think you would next go back there?? And when will your next video be up to view-next week?? So what will be your next history video??
Next video is on Sunday answering all the questions I received on Insta and RUclips. I’m in Ireland this weekend so there will be a new vlog next week as well. And the next history video will be Camelot 😀
@@coaster_dad Thanks for the very quick reply 🤘🏻 Look fwd to your questions video/Ireland next week! + very excited for the Camelot history video-will send you a DM about that 😀
Between 1971 and 1991 there was a park here called Flevohof that was a sort of infotainment park about agriculture. It was very relaxing. In comparison, Walibi is looking awful, and apart from a few good coasters it's just boring.
Would you still say after you spent the day there it’s similar to pleasure beach? Also, I can’t remember the name of it but there was a ride with orange tracks and a loop which gave me serious big one/revolution vibes but obviously much smaller… Yet again another great video, can’t help but think that park is one I’d pass on and to anyone who loves it, please visit UK parks as they are much better! Lol… Look forward to your next video!
As the day went on (and I finally got food!) I became a little less grumpy 😂 there are obviously many differences from BP but the ride line up wasn’t great, some areas looked tired etc. I’m glad I got the credits but yeah not a park I’ll be rushing back to. Too many others on the bucket list. 🙂
Ohhh neeeeoooo. It isn't Blackpool bad is it? Granted the 2 SLCs 🤷🏻♀️ I avoided the SLC 😂 I completely agree re Efteling, it's a completely different level. But yeah, I still prefer Walibi to any UK park 🤷🏻♀️
This park is a one day park unless it is really busy. Untammed is one of the best smaller RMC you did Iron gwazi wich i haven't done but is arguable the best RMC in the world. So not really fair to compaire it to that one. Its a nice enough coaster park but you can still see it used to be a six flaggs park. I prefer the one in Belgium. And yes untammed is painfull if you have nice belly i used have one and yes ouch still loved the ride. And pro tip for you feed yourself before entering a park 😉. Especially this one the food isn't that good.
I’m usually the same. I just found Efteling really immersive and Walibi was a little underwhelming. Possibly if I’d visited the other way round my views would have been different 🙂

Yeah I didn’t find much atmosphere either. And it wasn’t that quite which makes it more weird. 🤷♂️

18:25 I thought hmm that's a weird looking dive coaster
Ha ha. It does look like it from that angle 😂

It sure did. Sadly I never got on it. Hoping it’s the newer model if it’s coming back 😀
@@coaster_dad I rode it about 10 times in a row on a school trip when I was 14. 😁Terrified at first, but bored by the end.

Even newer SLCs are uncomfortable 🙈
Xpress platform 13 is actually Disneys Rock and Rollercoaster outdoors.
So I believe. A very different experience when it’s outdoors 😀
@@coaster_dad and the straight sections are MCBRs at Disney.

Much years ago i liked walibi sixflax walibi more than efteling. Now its 1 efteling 2 toverland 3 walibi. You should go to toverland in sevenum
It’s on my list 😀
Zadra or Iron gwazi ?
Good question. I’ve still to do Zadra 😀
Between 1971 and 1991 there was a park here called Flevohof that was a sort of infotainment park about agriculture. It was very relaxing. In comparison, Walibi is looking awful, and apart from a few good coasters it's just boring.

Villa Volta is better than Hex no? 😂
It’s a good ride but Iron Gwazi is better 😀
Em no Hex is definitely better 😂
@@coaster_dadI haven't been on it in years, a fact that Alton Towers are not helping me rectify 🤭
Love that place, my happy place would be riding Untamed all day, but I’d need to wear some shin pads

True. It’s a bit like Disney Paris is great until you’ve done Disney Orlando 😉
