Just the other day I was struggling with cutting a tiny piece off a tiny piece. I couldn’t figure out how to make a “handle”. Now I know how. Thank you for this invaluable tip.
I cut through acetate with my cover dies to make stencils. I ask made a turntable with a thrift store lazy susan with a Dollar tree wood round glued to the top.😉
I agree. You don’t always need bling. I don’t know how people get their cards to go through the mail with so much bulk. Fantastic video. I love it when you use things like this in a different way. So many examples to go and try with our cover plates.
Haha! I get the feeling the US Postal Service is pretty strict. I have been watching my own incoming mail to see how sequins/gems are doing as they arrive, and sometimes there's damage to the envelopes but rarely to the card itself. Thanks for watching!
These are absolutely lovely! I am NOT finished with my Christmas cards. I need to pull together finished cards, cards that need inside sentiments, and partially finished cards and turn them into about 150 finished cards.
I have never considered myself a cheater until today!! I am “ Team Cheater Technique” ALL THE WAY!! Who is with me?? But Ardyth, that’s yet ANOTHER reason I’m in awe of you and you, your skills , and your videos!! You always take the time to do it meticulously and HONESTLY!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!! ❤️
Oh my gosh Ardyth. Your cards and videos are always so inspiring. I loved all the cards and ideas and really can't choose a favourite. Thanks so much. ❤😊 PS sometimes i find myself rewatching your videos to refresh my memory of the techniques. 😊
so many options/variations - all of them gorgeous, inspiring - and they make me think no matter what route I choose to go, it will look good. I may have preferences of 1 over another relative to favorites, but they will all be good thanks to your instruction. MuCh ApPrEcIaTeD !!
Great card ideas and so varied. Hard to name a favourite as they all appeal to me. The stencil two for ones are possibly at the top. Thank you for another excellent video!
So many ideas! I always learn so much from your videos Ardyth, they are a joy to watch. Your explanations are spot on. Thank you for sharing your ideas & knowledge. Have a most wonderful week. Cheers Donna Z (Australia)
Wow , you always surprise me Ardyth! All these beautiful cards using the same coverplate was genius! This is a great technique for any of us hint-hint that haven't finished their Christmas cards yet. Thanks for a cool & useful video. We luv when you share your talents and tips & tricks😁
I have a ton of cover plates! I have no idea how to emboss with a switch machine. I was not happy that for the money they never included a silicone or rubber mat to emboss or instructions. It’s definitely something I want to try!
Thank you for these great ideas. Newby to your channel but love the way you do your presentation. Looking forward to watching more. Again thanks (Western Australia)
I enjoy your videos and your enthusiasm! Re edging using felt pads. I run the edges of the cardstock along the side edge of the ink pad for a tiny clean line of color edging.
Thank you for sharing that - it makes sense that you would at least get some colour on the edges, they're just not as squishy as the foam ink pads. Thanks for watching!
Love the black & red Merry card and black/gray Joy; the colorful Joy with the white corner is my favorite. Coming into December -- how are you doing with your challenge to use up stuff you bought but hadn't used? Follow up video?
Um. That would be embarrassing! Lol! I am plugging away at it, but especially with the stencils, I have a long way to go. But I will make sure to talk about it soon. Thanks for watching, Melissa!
I love that Catherine Pooler background - bought it! What great ideas you've shared! Unfortunately I haven't been able to track down a Canadian vendor for the WeRMem rotating platform - its out of stock everywhere.
Lots of local stores will order in items for customers who are looking for things they don't normally carry. And I've heard of others using other turntables - I have a cheap one I got from Amazon under my Gemini Jr (another good hack, by the way), and although it has a textured surface, in a pinch, I might be able to find something smooth to attach to it to make it better for inkblending? Something to think about. Good luck! Thanks for watching!
LOL! I can't keep straight all these postage rules - I'm sure you're right, maybe at least in the US! In Canada I haven't paid extra for embellishments, but every country is different and it's a good reminder that we need to know our postal rules. Thanks so much for watching!
That blue plate is the i-crafter Magnetic Pro Deck (or something like that). I like it because it doesn't warp and my dies don't move. Here's a link: www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/i-crafter-i-mend-self-mending-magnetic-pro-deck-cutting-pad-222160?sscid=b1k7_xll63&ShareASale&
I wish people were not so hung up on not producing long videos. I LIKE long videos. One can learn that much more and techniques are reinforced. Please post some long vids!
Just the other day I was struggling with cutting a tiny piece off a tiny piece. I couldn’t figure out how to make a “handle”. Now I know how. Thank you for this invaluable tip.
You can turn the white so that it's vertical like the strip, too - glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching!
I love the last card! The red Joy just popped out on me!
Thanks so much for watching!
I love how you always show multiple ways to use supplies.
Thanks so much - I think it's important to get our money's worth! lol! Thanks so much for watching!
Now I know for certain that you’re a genius! I’ll be using the technique to trim paper. What a great way to actually get it right. Thank you!
Haha! That was not my original idea - I forget where I saw it, but I agree it really helps! Thanks so much for watching!
I cut through acetate with my cover dies to make stencils. I ask made a turntable with a thrift store lazy susan with a Dollar tree wood round glued to the top.😉
Oh you clever thing! Well done! Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you Ardyth for sharing your creativity. Your handle idea on a small piece of paper is terrific.
Thank you so much 😊

That's interesting about the Switch. Definitely something to look into - you can emboss with stencils too! Thanks for stopping by, Denise!
I liked them all but myfavorite was the one strip, it was either black or gray border with the red Christmas as it was clean and simple.

If you are mailing Christmas cards, raised embellishments cause you to add more postage.
LOL! I can't keep straight all these postage rules - I'm sure you're right, maybe at least in the US! In Canada I haven't paid extra for embellishments, but every country is different and it's a good reminder that we need to know our postal rules. Thanks so much for watching!
What is the blue plate you use in the Gemini machine? Love this video and getting the most if my supplies. Thanks for sharing.
That blue plate is the i-crafter Magnetic Pro Deck (or something like that). I like it because it doesn't warp and my dies don't move. Here's a link: www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/i-crafter-i-mend-self-mending-magnetic-pro-deck-cutting-pad-222160?sscid=b1k7_xll63&ShareASale&
