The Big Ideas of Mr Lee Kuan Yew: The Role of the State

In conjunction of celebrating Mr Lee Kuan Yew's 90th birthday with the LKY School's 9th anniversary, the LKY School hosted a conference to celebrate the big ideas of Mr Lee. The speakers, all of whom had worked closely with Mr Lee, reflected on how his ideas had shaped the course of history for Singapore, and provided personal stories of their own relationships with him.
In part two of this conference, speakers Janadas Devan, Director of Institute of Policy Studies and Seng Han Tong, a MP for Ang Mo Kio GRC, talks about "The Role of the State". Professor Tommy Koh, Special Adviser to the Institute of Policy Studies, is the moderator in this panel discussion.
