He had backpain throughout the movie, it’s why he had bad posture. He was just old, and then it took a robot with obscene strength to fix his back since Mr. Incredible is that strong. But other superheroes would’ve been torn in half.
Well there is a theory that this specific omnidroid was programmed to kill Frozone, which is why he tried to push Bob into the lava. Frozone can't use his ice in the heat. Syndrome likely targeted the Super's weaknesses. Gazerbeam was still 'whole' as well.
To be honest, this honestly seems pretty embarrassing on Syndrome’s part. The Omnidroid was designed specifically to kill Bob, and he killed god-knows how many supers to prepare it. Yet it not only failed (at least in this incarnation), but it’s intended target was out of practice, overweight and overall not in his prime.
Apparently people think it was made for frozone because of how it’s lava proof and a earlier since where they say he is still with the fat one when there being spied on
This omnidroid was designed to kill frozone, not Bob hence why i fails so many blows, and moves around inefficiently, and also forces Bob into the volcano just because, the difference between this one and prototype 9 is ridiculous tbh
How is that embarrassing? If you watch the kronos unveiled scene many omnidroids fail so it shows that it is expected that omnidroids will be eliminated but they keep getting upgraded. If the movie didn't go the way it went, Omnidroid v9 would've been the one to kill Mr incredible.
Side note: What I love about the omnidroids is that while most killer robots are usually armed to the teeth with missiles, buzz saws, laser cannons, and machine guns among other weapons, the Omnidroids rely more on their cunning and resourcefulness, using the environment around them to their advantage, and super advanced AI that allows them to analyze their opponents’ abilities and fighting styles to create strategies on how to eventually defeat them.
My favorite parts of this fight were always when he cracks his back, and also when he gets his back fixed and bodies the Omnidroid. The health bars make those two moments even better

Honestly, the setting is brutal in general. It'd make frozone a fish out of water and being brutalized. I usually see villains give the hero a fighting chance but I see syndrome really gave them no chance, kinda grim when you realize how the other heroes went. Especially with how merciless the omnidroids are
