Good to see everyone again! Sorry for the delay, this video took a ton of rewrites to get to a point I thought it was good to release. For those wondering, we spent roughly one year in game, over 10 hours of gameplay, took out roughly 50 NPCs, obtained one free house, halted Whiterun guard recruitment, destroyed the city ecology, joined the companions, retrieved a priest's amulet, disappointed an orphan, made over 25,000 gold in total and broke the brains of every NPC in the city at the same time! This took forever....
@Momo Readuth To be honest the writing! Getting a script that I feel works and can be edited around is the toughest part. Finding music that fits etc. I’ve been making videos for quite a while now so once everything else is figured out then that’s the fun part!

No one's gonna believe me but I recently started playing mods that add quests and I ended up being in Solitude a lot, somehow I never knew the Bard's college was a joinable Guild after like almost 10 years. Bought the Solitude home for the first time, never realized that becoming Thane for another Hold gave me another Housecarl companion as well (apparently I'm used to just getting friends from fist fights).
I certainly took plenty of liberties in terms of what events I applied to each DENNIS letter, so other skills, quests, and hijinks in other cities will totally apply!
Some of the other major capitals have more quests you can do inside them, like the whole Forsworn Conspiracy in Markarth. Are there any where you can become Thane without leaving the city limits?
The thing about plants not respawning I believe is that you need to have the "cell" unloaded for 2 in game days for them to be grown again when you come back. Whiterun is my favorite town for a multitude of reasons and my plants almost never respawn.
Interesting. We certainly had a similar theory on stream when we were doing this challenge. It was really fun investigating it until I ran out of ways to make cash
well the fact that it is compact with three good merchants in a small area, doesn't look like crap and is a central location makes it the best "hub" point in the game
Just found your channel from this video popping up in my recommendations, bloody glad I did, love you sense of humor and the creativity you put into it, about to go binge some more of your content. It's rare I subscribe after watching one video, but you my friend deserve it.
8:21 I actually have had engaged in similar dialogue before, twice. Once in Windhelm, the two Nords harassing the Dark Elf when you first enter, the one in the ragged robes was found dead one day. The guard and his friend were talking about the murder over his body. I approached, and the guard walked over to me and began interrogating me. The second time was in Riften. It was a random Dawnguard agent that was killed in a vampire attack, but the guards kept hounding me about it. Also off topic but has anyone else entered Alvor's house and saw his wife dead on the ground with an iron dagger and their daughter was across the room saying "Uh, don't worry about mother, she's just... sleeping."
I got this for the first time a week ago when two NPC citizens from the mod that adds more people living in cities just died and a guard in Solitude kept pestering me like I knew what happened. I left the game open to get a juice and didn't even see how they died.
This is basically what they were talking about before Skyrim's debut, when they said that they were fixing a lot of the issues Oblivion had, specifically that if you coincidentally killed or somehow a quest giver dies, it would swap it to a family or friend of that character. But on overdrive.
Was just randomly recommended this video and I love it. :D I love playthroughs that just start with a plan and then go completely off rails. 10/10 realistic Skyrim experience.

After watching this video, I went to watch him investigate for the Solitude takeover. And while he's casing the joint he mentions saving the dude who is getting executed when you walk in. I remember trying so hard to save him and after reloading saves multiple times I finally got him pretty far (even though he was still in danger) and when there were no guards around in attacking range he just keeled over and died. So that's how I wasted an hour to an hour and 1/2 of my time trying to save a dude who can't be saved.
Oddly enough, I didn’t spend much time looking into Roggvir’s execution as the task of paying for college without using Alchemy was daunting and looming over me.

Good work on the video. Like other comments have said, the quality is on par with channels that have a lot more subs and views. You'll get there too for sure.
This looks like a fun challenge to try with all of the cities, even the ones that don't have walls like Ivarsted. With those cities it would be interesting to try and define where the "out of bounds" for the city is. Also what is your thought on using the Alternate start mod and chosing "I'm a patron at the Inn in (insert town here)" instead of console command?
That wouldn’t be too bad of a way to do something like this! I’m reality, this challenge started as a “rags to riches” type thing, but I realized that just doing alchemy the entire time rather than trying to play with the games mechanics and tell a story would’ve been boring. So halfway through I completely changed the goal of it all!
@Joov I like how you added to the challenge. Agreed that cheesing alchemy alone wouldn't be interesting for a video (unless you added reverse pickpocketing poisons to take out citizens and guards).

This challenge is actually pretty easy, jumping on the bucket to the right of the door of Whiterun and then out the city, you are technically in the city and you just need to run around the walls and then grab Eorlands merchant chest. You only need to do this 5 times
Lmao the "richest person in whiterun, mentally" line got me dying so hard that i was absolutely floored when you introduced the Dennis system😂😂😂😂never woulda expected an it's always sunny in philadelphia reference, bravo im a subscriber now
I didn't see you get the Ebony Blade during this... Wouldn't a Daedric Artifact that empoweres itself upon slaying "friends" be a hilarious way to establish domination? IIRC only thing you have to do in order to get it is to be level 20 and then ask for rumours in the pub to start the quest. I think this idea of "Can you play Skyrim without leaving [Insert City Name]" could become a new and fun challenge on RUclips with everyone getting back to Skyrim with the AE. If you're gonna do this again, how about Windhelm next? (at least you would get a proper home for solving the Murder-Case) Best Regards =D EDIT: P.S.: If you go to do Windhelm, join Hadvar at the Beginning and take some Imperial Armor with you to Windhelm. When you run around the Guards long enough in Imperial Armor they start chasing you to death. (Hidden interaction works also vice versa with Stormcloak Uniform in Solitude)
Appreciate the write up! Ebony Blade was the ONE thing we couldn’t get to work properly on stream and I was super disappointed. Our best theory was that the dragonstone needs to be retrieved beforehand starting the quest. Hope that’s the case because if I missed out on it I’ll be sad about this for a while. I definitely plan on doing all the cities here as soon as I can. I want to avoid burnout though and stay creative so I’ll do some different things between then
@@Joov There might be an optimal point in the main or side quest to start this. You could use console commands to "do" the quests then coc in. This would make a great mod. Maybe the winner would be the highest levelled player at 10 000. You could play the cities off each other.
The Greybeards heard all the chaos coming up the mountain and locked the doors. But I wish you could've gone inside to see what happens between Jarls and Greybeards. That would have been the icing on the cake.

Best video from someone with 12 k subscribers. I just assumed this was already a pretty big channel. Great job, loved the video. Keep it up!
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the words of support they mean so much and they’re so motivating to keep making more
Great video Joov! It was a journey unlike any other!
The constant IASIP references and the persona 5 music has led me to sub to your channel. Your humour is also pretty great man. Can't wait to see more
Mmm yes personal 5 music
@@jamiehughes5573 whoops lol. Persona. Has been edited now haha
Randomly got suggested this video and boy am I glad I did. Watched this and your New Vegas Among Us video and I'm planning on binging a hell of a lot more of them.
I often forget I do a New Vegas theme'd AmongUs rap music video in that one lmao. Thanks for watching!
your videos always inspire me to make new characters out of them. The crazy naked alchemist of whiterun, the badass of the glowing sea etc
Imagine you're the chosen one and you decide to simply live a regular life
I need that outro more, it's like bread with amazing flour
I don't know why I laughed so hard at 6:53 when he's just swimming and staring into the abyss. This whole video is hilarious though.
big fan, this was my first video and your editing style is fantastic, can't wait to see more.
This took an interesting turn. I'm wondering if being cooped up in a single town affected you more than you think.
Can't believe I clicked on this video. But, I love Skyrim and this concept is hilarious.
This challenge is actually pretty easy, jumping on the bucket to the right of the door of Whiterun and then out the city, you are technically in the city and you just need to run around the walls and then grab Eorlands merchant chest. You only need to do this 5 times
Congrats, you know about a bug that people have known about for 10 years. Doing that would totally defeat the fun of the challenge.
This game has so much content; I swear I've never even seen Urthgerd's house.
I was engaged for the whole 12:44. What sorcery is this 🤓
That’s Youngscrolls True Power
It's that Deep Sorcery
Jon Battle-Born: You know whats wrong with Skyrim these days? Everyone is obsessed with death!
Also Jon: 9:31
"Everyone is obsessed with death" *stares at corpse for hours*
A Skyrim video about my favourite place in the game *with* always sunny involved? I am thoroughly enjoying this 😌
I loved this so much! Please do one in Riften or even Solitude as I think there will be great things for you to do there!
“I’m playing you’re game in the dumbest way possible.”😂
This is why she love Skyrim so much fun. Ty for the video you got a new sub
Damn... after all these years I had no idea that you could adopt braith.... guess in all my playthroughs her mother never died 🤣
because fo the roleplay aspect, it really adds to the immersion to not see your facecam in game, it's way funnier this way, love it :D
4:12 Persona 3 battle music that instantly got a like from me
Same
Lmao the "richest person in whiterun, mentally" line got me dying so hard that i was absolutely floored when you introduced the Dennis system😂😂😂😂never woulda expected an it's always sunny in philadelphia reference, bravo im a subscriber now
I didn't see you get the Ebony Blade during this...
(at least you would get a proper home for solving the Murder-Case)
Best Regards =D
EDIT: P.S.:
If you go to do Windhelm, join Hadvar at the Beginning and take some Imperial Armor with you to Windhelm.
I LOVE the Sunny references. It's one of my top 5 favorite tv shows ever. The podcast is really good too!
Sounds like DougDoug
The Greybeards heard all the chaos coming up the mountain and locked the doors. But I wish you could've gone inside to see what happens between Jarls and Greybeards. That would have been the icing on the cake.
The security in Whiterun is terrible! Shameful is what it is!
Liked in the first 2 minutes… Subscribed as soon as you mentioned the DENNIS system.
0:51 heyyy don't say that about yourself, you're cute bro
You ever find a new youtuber you just immediately click with? Already love this channel.
The algorithm has blessed you brother! This video was great, definitely subscribed
Yes, I've had that exact same line of questions. I talked my way out of it, the guard told me to "watch myself from now on".
This video is golden bruh, hope you grow to 1 mil subs!
You sir are a golden god for using the DENNIS system for this video.
Yay Skyrim videos are still a thing, this was also quite entertaining
10000+ hours of skyrim and i have never once had that guard dialogue, where you are standing next to a body with a weapon drawn, holy cow.
