You'll never hear him say an unkind word about anyone; anytime I've met him I left feeling better about the world and myself. Gerry is also a fine writer - I would love to read his memoirs. Absolutely supeb. Gerry is such a wonderful old friend. I had the great pleasure of working on many projects with this word smith. Flying pigs, Mad Susan's, religious knowledge (i was the good boy McQuaid. What an amazing time. Artists, performers, music, writers. We gave it everything, and took from it as much. Planning, scheming, gathering, fighting for our space in the Arts. Great to see this Gerry.... So whats the plan. What will we do??? I enjoyed Gerrys voice a real storyteller. However, I have 2 children in secondary school and the schoolbooks hasnt been free. Its only this year the free books scheme has come in. Maybe Gerry is talking about university but could have sworn he said secondary was free education. If thats the case, its certainly my mother struggled to get the money to buy all the school books for me and my brother in the 80's. One book could cost 40 irish pounds 😮
