Fortunately or unfortunately... Absent from my life but not from my heart
I’m so happy to not have this person in my life anymore, I’ve finally been able to heal with blocking them and him not being able to contact me drunk once a month and profess his feelings and then take it all away the next day sober. I feel for him and his loneliness, but he did this to himself unfortunately and played games with me for over a year. It just wasn’t nice treatment and zero respect after giving so much to him. I do wish him well, I now however also wish myself well.

Yup, this is him/us.
He drinks a lot. And yes, took a situation between us and tatally blames me/is holding this grudge or something. And yes, I think he's being entirely unfair about it. His actions were at the root of it, but he doesn't see it that way. And though I've sincerely apologized, with heartfeltedness, it doesn't matter. He refuses to get past it, and seems to just want to be painted as a victim.
I can't do anything about that. I've done all I can. And honestly, the immaturity/victim stance..lashing out to hurt me, and then ghosting..is not necessarily attractive. He used to be attractive in my eyes. But now..I realize a lot of it is past traumas and abandonment issues. So now, all I can feel for him is sorry.
