LOL, try create a melee warrior, get a "You cannot restore honor" debuff..... get to the last boss and buy the "you can't lose damage in the next room" boon....... laugh as you face tank the boss because he can't take your honor.
They give you a tiny room and by the end of the boss' health, there is LITERALLY nowhere left to stand. One tiny hit and it takes like 100 honor. Absolute trash design.
@@cyberius6 If honor is tied to health then your health bottles should restore some honor too. If that's too easy then make it a ratio of health to honor, but they def need to adjust this mechanic somehow.
Yeah I start with really low honour because I have lower health but loads of energy shield. So basically I can't complete it and not because I die because I stubbed my toe
I got a perfect run, restored all my honor before boss room, had no negative affixes. Got hit by one volcano and lost half my honor.... It's so stupid I can fave tank the boss and kite him so easily but as soon as I get one extra volcano I'm dead. With full hp. Till this is removed I'm not gnna ascend. Absolutely stupid

@beasthaven1571 i played as monk so off the top of my head I'll say what I focused on. 1. Rooms that are touch the crystals and run, survive until timer runs out. The run rooms are just kinda easy honestly. The survival rooms i head to the corner and hope the elite doesn't spawn on me. 2. As for the map debuffs, try to avoid ones that lower how far you can see on the map and anything that reduced health % energy shield because they reduce your honor. Also don't take negative move speed. Moving slower is never worth whatever the trade off is unless that trade off is 1 shot everything lol. Even then it's questionable 3. Preface: i used monk and after watching this video decided to get the lightning sweep so I have a ranged option. So I advise getting a ranged option because 1, as scary as some of the aoes might look here.... everything is really telegraphed. Bugs have long wind ups, mages shoot orbs but the explode after like 2 seconds, same thing for ground aoes. 4. With that ranged option, don't be afraid to kill a few enemies along the way for non timed rooms. This can get you.... whatever the resource is called to buy things and it keeps some of the running around less hectic. Also the default final boss is infinitely more easy if you can kite it. Ummm..... I'm sure I'll think of more later but if there's a particular thing that's getting you let us know and we should be able to guide you hopefully
im a level 23 ice monk. this trial is kicking my ass. i either might come to this later with better gear or just uninstall and move on from poe. Ive been a poe fan for a long time now
@jkii1243 level 40 ice monk here. Get wave of frost to instant freeze and then use cascade to destroy the ice instant killing mobs. If you have the spirit available for herald of ice use that because it cause ice explosions on frozen enemies. Stay far away and use wave and cascade from distance.
I was able to do it at my third try, but now i play archer dude and my friend melee, together we get the same amount of honour but harder enemies, he can´t do it alone though maybe on the 5th try?

Straight up cant do it, level 22 warrior with rolling slam, infernal cry and perfect strike. Also am i crazy or you take honor damage only on life but not on shield?
i hear ya, its so bad in every front but you should use auto attack, mace auto attack. it does way more damage. or like anything but rolling slam. but continue to complain about trials and maybe they'll change them because they suck so hard.
I’m level 25 and still having issues. But you are right honor is tied ti life not es. I’ve last run I did I almost won but got greedy and it screwed me. Use that pile of rocks as a way to cheese him with range till stuff falls from the ceiling you can get him to half health easily that way.
Hit to minions also reduce honor just as if you got hit and I was a minion build. PoE 2 looked like fun until my build made it so I could not progress further into the game.
I just did a trial you definitely got hit cause I watched my minion's die and get destroyed I lost no Honor. You think you might be lagging my friend sent a video of him losing honor but nothing hit him even though he evaded or ran away.
Can i just overlevel the trial i get to the boss with max honor but i slowly bleed out in the boss as the arena gets filled with shit since it takes forever for me to kill the boss
Don’t forget for balbala as well she puts this fire circle on the floor with a coin in the middle. If you allow the coin enough time it spawns an add. You want to go into the circle and have her slam down on the coin destroying it. The spirit it summons isn’t super powerful but just very annoying.
As a witch they make it sometimes where you're forced to take 40% less damage because if you don't the other debuffs are way way WAY worse. "Lose half of your honor" "enemies deal more 50% more damage" "lose all spirit water" shit is REDICULOUS
I used a couple relics and tried the one where you touch the runes on a timer. Used 2 different relics now I don’t have either and can’t try again. Did I do something wrong? What am I missing?
I got the boss to 10% hp left and "died" because of the burning effect draining my honour. I have never been so tilted before. Playing as a monk is pure pain.
Having sanctum with its honor system being an ascendency trial is crazy. It’s so unfair and if you fail on the boss u have to redo the whole trial. Just way too punishing for an ascendency.
I'm at 27 and it's not possible to move past room 4-5 with a tanky build. The build is slow and literally meant to take hits. It's fucking hell, and I wish I would've known. I never play warrior/barbs, and I was like.. you know what, Instead of which/sorc/ranger, I'm gonna try this. Instant regret upon realizing what that honor mechanic is.
@@dovakev nah so my advice. 27 highly doable. It’s lowkey rng, but do as many escape trials as you can. Go for honor on all the runs so you are max or close to max on boss. On the boss itself, use leap get an auto in, repeat. When you build up stun, bone shatter. Avoid chalice, and if you can avoid gauntlet. Ritual easy generally too. It will take a lot of focus on your part to dodge the mechanics but make sure you’re listening to audio queues. Final optional tip, blast doom music while you fight boss. Good luck bro
Im not even mad at that decision. Im sure it will be gone by full release because it it idiotic asf. Jonestly believe its a way for them to heard players into only playing ranged rn to give more data for testing
For those struggling as a ranger helpful tip is to invest in the 2 projectile damage increase parts of the tree. After getting the majority of those and upgrading my gear to a proper level i got the boss on the first try. Don't invest in the flask skills until you unlock most of the pure damage passives.
killed the boss and then i died afterwards. i got credit and it says use the altar and choose your ascendancy now but i died so i cant get back there. this game is cruel man.
I got through it by leveling up more and looking for better gear.. i was able to get a staff with 21%spell damage and +3 to cold spells(im a cold sorc) and it helped me tremendously. But tbh i prefer the poe1 lab it was fun to go around explore grab keys, get secret areas etc. this one is alright except for the honour system
Tried many times, going at the boss with full honor of 600-700, but there is just no way - Best so far I got the boss to 80%. After 10+ boss attempts (stopped counting) which takes the boring 10 minutes to reach every time, I have just given up .. and also on the game - Playing something else now. Worst fkn game design ever. Worse than making a 100 bosses that can all potentially fully stop your progression = game over - But atleast with those you can bang your head against the wall without a 10 minute clear between attempts. Neither is something I find very enjoyable, but gotta go through some pain to get to the good stuff.

This is my first ARPG ever in my life, I have no idea what im doing, im going in blind and its been so so fun and rewarding playing warrior (I always play basic melle dude on a first playthrough of a new game) I was feeling so strong and only having a few deaths on a couple bosses like the final boss of act 1, and albaba herself. THIS is where I got stuck and am still stuck. The honor system means as a melle tanky guy whos specced into defense alongside committing to stuns and melle fury generation, this seems wildly unfair and unfun... Ive been using totem build to avoid melle so much but even if I get to the cragbeast with 300 or so honor left, it takes like 30 minutes to even kill him and I just die to honor slowly via random aoe and the little spitballs of fire
I found the crystals on of ps5 to be annoyingly picky, both times I've seen it so far it's failed on the 2nd one because it will not select it, it keeps auto-targeting enemies instead. Maybe I need to look in the options or switch weapons (playing a caster).
Question, as a warrior, what lvl were you to do this ascension? I have no problems reaching the boss, but once I get to him I just get defeated constantly, and having to restart is by no wjust annoying the hell out of me. Now I can see why people are complaining about the difficulty; its not even the normal game's difficulty, its this freaking honor system that completely negates my build and disfavors melee combatants. so anyways, what lvl were you? can it be done at lvl 22?
Went through the past 7 rooms flawless, losing barely any honor, until the boss just decides to leave 50 volcanoes on the floor because why not. My monk friend just ranged him to death but since I’m a warrior I have to be right up his nuts and take every hit like a good boy. What is the point of being tanky with like 60% DR when every hit counts to your impending doom :(
I don't know if Witches are garbage, I'm poorly geared or if I'm straight up just bad, but I'm not even close to dealing the amount of damage you're dealing. I'm just tickling him. I got him to half hp after like 3 mins then died.
I'm using Skeletal Warriors, Skeletal Arsonists and Unearth together with Contagion and Essence Drain. I wanted to run a build without minions but was pretty much forced to switch due to being run over by mobs. I'm doing better now, but but previous build would not have bade it to the final boss in the trials at all

any tips on running out of mana? im on a lightning arrow ranger and its so brutal. ive re-speced into intelligence and both my rings have mana and still running out so fast :(
I'm not too familiar with Mana options on Lightning Arrow. On Sorceress I fixed this by increasing my maximum mana, taking mana regeneration nodes, or supporting skills with Inspiration.

I beat the trial but in the room where you pick you chest and ascension I teleported to stash and it now I can't get back into the room to claim my ascension. Ugh
as a new POE player, how impactful are these ascendancies? Is it even worth trying this at level 22, or should I wait a couple levels until grinding this? I've given it a couple runs and the honor system is what kills me, which is super annoying.
I’m level 27 and got the boss down to 20% health as a lightning monk. I was being a bit careless with my honor though. I’m going to do more of the story line to level up and come back to make it easier.

I’m on ps5 escape ritual is not good with controller I can’t click on the shrine if there is an enemy around my x button spams skills and it won’t activate the shrine
I did fairly well until the boss. The boss basically took full honor to near 0 and takes HUGE chunks of it if you are caught in the attacks. Not to mention, having lower fps during combat hurts alot too. I hope the tokens are easy to come by as I want to do these trials again when im a bit stronger.
Is there a level cap in this? Can i over level and come back and ascend very easily? It says on the relic the monster level is 22 as of now im level 33 which is a pretty good over level. Does that mean i can breeze through it? Or the monsters scale with my current level?

I found another trial coin. Can I use that in act 2 to ascend a second time? Or do I have to do that in act 3? The coin says area level 28 which seems more like act 2.

Oh this video just makes me realise I will never be able to complete this trial with my warrior. 1 hour in and I haven't even made it to the boss, let alone having enough honour to beat the boss!. Guess I'll re-roll then and pray they fix this
It gives you 3 options with both an upside and a downside (I talk about this towards the end of my video). The options are random but it's frequently; Gain a boon + Gain an affliction.
Last boss is not the same as what you got going on. By the time I have him a quarter health I have half the room covered in volcanoes. Fifth try the same every time. he hits me once and half my honor is gone. Im level 33 ranger. Took me nearly 20 minutes just to get him to 1/4 health and for me to lose. This shit sucks. Its not fun hard its just bull shit.
In the death crystal trials on PS5 I cant click on the crystals until i kill all the enemies around it. anyone know how to click on something/pick up/activate things while in combat on consoles?
so.... Honor= just health of run, if it's out, run ends. no other purpose, so if you're decent honor, you don't have to keep it topped off? Water is currency for boons keys.... open something? get loot?
what level are you on? I'm 34 (got the trial cookie at 22 LOL) and I'm having trouble with just the sheer shitload of things going on on the screen which is extremely distracting... the lava drip thing, the falling rocks just a mess if you ask me.. I can get to this boss with almost full honour but just die because I get hit all over the place by all the AOE in the 2nd phase...
lol timed rooms are the easiest. at start just run into a corner and hope the elite wont spawn on you, then kill the mob that spawns at u when he does and chill in between. its so easy, its even boring.
I nearly cried dying the first time to....spikes....i kept hitting spikes second time i reached the boss with 100 honour. Had to play a perfect game of not getting hit
one tip for the spikes; they do damage when they erupt from the ground, so if the spikes are already out you can safely run through them and that gives you the most time to get clear.
level 23 ice sorc and cannot get past 3rd room, but I will say, escape is easiest, followed by hourglass since you can just run around, chalice sucks since my DPS is so low, I cant wait to get to level 25 and buy some uber gear from the marketplace, sucks you cannot use it until then
PSA FOR FELLOW CONSOLE PLAYERS: the escape room trials are broken on console do not, I repeat DO NOT do them right now. Any enemy or item in the area of the crystal bugs out the interact prompt, and you WILL die form not being able to turn off the crystal in time
Take off any skill on the X or A button so you can interact with the crystal. Otherwise with enemy present, your X or A button goes to the assigned skill

This is extremely punishing to melee players. Feels really bad to have power gain locked behind a roguelite like WoW did with Torghast.
If you could just retry the boss instead of having to do the whole thing over again if you fail, I'd be more accepting.

Haven't got there yet, but they do say your defenses can mitigate the damage your honor takes. So maybe es op for sanctum now?
You get some extra defensive benefits (which apply to honor) from your defenses. I was playing an armor build so I didn't get to test this much yet.

Escape rooms are hell on the controller. The clicking prompt goes away when monsters show up. Does anyone know how to fix that?

Ascent to power in Act 2 cruel is bugged, how do we get to the 3rd ascendance points?

My way to beat it is probably the wrong way. But, but I tried it at level failed. came back twice the level. And breezed through it.
Tried many times, going at the boss with full honor of 600-700, but there is just no way - Best so far I got the boss to 80%.
After 10+ boss attempts (stopped counting) which takes the boring 10 minutes to reach every time, I have just given up .. and also on the game - Playing something else now.
Worst fkn game design ever. Worse than making a 100 bosses that can all potentially fully stop your progression = game over - But atleast with those you can bang your head against the wall without a 10 minute clear between attempts. Neither is something I find very enjoyable, but gotta go through some pain to get to the good stuff.

I had to continue the campaign and level up my character to like 29 to beat the final boss
Went in at lv23 came back at lv26 and and got it on my 4th attempt after some decent relic drops
man I was killing the boss this whole time in that room with a timer
I thought I need to kill them all before the time ends, and kept dying 🤣🤣

This is my first ARPG ever in my life, I have no idea what im doing, im going in blind and its been so so fun and rewarding playing warrior (I always play basic melle dude on a first playthrough of a new game) I was feeling so strong and only having a few deaths on a couple bosses like the final boss of act 1, and albaba herself.
THIS is where I got stuck and am still stuck. The honor system means as a melle tanky guy whos specced into defense alongside committing to stuns and melle fury generation, this seems wildly unfair and unfun... Ive been using totem build to avoid melle so much but even if I get to the cragbeast with 300 or so honor left, it takes like 30 minutes to even kill him and I just die to honor slowly via random aoe and the little spitballs of fire

I breezed through this trial on a grenadier hunter build, was super confused by the honour thing though
I found the crystals on of ps5 to be annoyingly picky, both times I've seen it so far it's failed on the 2nd one because it will not select it, it keeps auto-targeting enemies instead. Maybe I need to look in the options or switch weapons (playing a caster).
Just take your skill off of A or X. Then it only is the interact button and you can do it easily

Question, as a warrior, what lvl were you to do this ascension? I have no problems reaching the boss, but once I get to him I just get defeated constantly, and having to restart is by no wjust annoying the hell out of me. Now I can see why people are complaining about the difficulty; its not even the normal game's difficulty, its this freaking honor system that completely negates my build and disfavors melee combatants. so anyways, what lvl were you? can it be done at lvl 22?
Went through the past 7 rooms flawless, losing barely any honor, until the boss just decides to leave 50 volcanoes on the floor because why not. My monk friend just ranged him to death but since I’m a warrior I have to be right up his nuts and take every hit like a good boy. What is the point of being tanky with like 60% DR when every hit counts to your impending doom :(
how do you do "test of cunning" "test of will" ???
I don't know if Witches are garbage, I'm poorly geared or if I'm straight up just bad, but I'm not even close to dealing the amount of damage you're dealing. I'm just tickling him. I got him to half hp after like 3 mins then died.
What skills are you using? I've seen a lot of Witches use minions and have pretty good success.
I'm using Skeletal Warriors, Skeletal Arsonists and Unearth together with Contagion and Essence Drain. I wanted to run a build without minions but was pretty much forced to switch due to being run over by mobs. I'm doing better now, but but previous build would not have bade it to the final boss in the trials at all

Witches are ass specialy early on
I am a monk and I did this in two tries, you do have to dodge a lot and just focus on the objectives though. The last boss, real easy to dodge.
What gems are you using on leap slam and sunder ?
any tips on running out of mana? im on a lightning arrow ranger and its so brutal. ive re-speced into intelligence and both my rings have mana and still running out so fast :(
I'm not too familiar with Mana options on Lightning Arrow. On Sorceress I fixed this by increasing my maximum mana, taking mana regeneration nodes, or supporting skills with Inspiration.

I beat the trial but in the room where you pick you chest and ascension I teleported to stash and it now I can't get back into the room to claim my ascension. Ugh
as a new POE player, how impactful are these ascendancies? Is it even worth trying this at level 22, or should I wait a couple levels until grinding this? I've given it a couple runs and the honor system is what kills me, which is super annoying.
Come back to it later with several levels higher. It’s not necessary to do it the first time you come across it

I’m level 27 and got the boss down to 20% health as a lightning monk. I was being a bit careless with my honor though. I’m going to do more of the story line to level up and come back to make it easier.

I’m on ps5 escape ritual is not good with controller I can’t click on the shrine if there is an enemy around my x button spams skills and it won’t activate the shrine
I did fairly well until the boss. The boss basically took full honor to near 0 and takes HUGE chunks of it if you are caught in the attacks. Not to mention, having lower fps during combat hurts alot too. I hope the tokens are easy to come by as I want to do these trials again when im a bit stronger.

Is there a level cap in this? Can i over level and come back and ascend very easily? It says on the relic the monster level is 22 as of now im level 33 which is a pretty good over level. Does that mean i can breeze through it? Or the monsters scale with my current level?

You can't lose the coin on the first one. If you fail, speak to Balbala to get another.

I found another trial coin. Can I use that in act 2 to ascend a second time? Or do I have to do that in act 3? The coin says area level 28 which seems more like act 2.
You need one of the appropriate ilevel. The second trial is 38 so you probably need a 38 coin.

It gives you 3 options with both an upside and a downside (I talk about this towards the end of my video). The options are random but it's frequently; Gain a boon + Gain an affliction.
3 tries ? I kept dying and just now figured out it was because the honour ran out .
Last boss is not the same as what you got going on. By the time I have him a quarter health I have half the room covered in volcanoes. Fifth try the same every time. he hits me once and half my honor is gone. Im level 33 ranger. Took me nearly 20 minutes just to get him to 1/4 health and for me to lose. This shit sucks. Its not fun hard its just bull shit.
In the death crystal trials on PS5 I cant click on the crystals until i kill all the enemies around it. anyone know how to click on something/pick up/activate things while in combat on consoles?

Honor= just health of run, if it's out, run ends. no other purpose, so if you're decent honor, you don't have to keep it topped off?

The easiest way to beat the first trial is just by not fighting anything except the boss. What a stupid idea
what level are you on? I'm 34 (got the trial cookie at 22 LOL) and I'm having trouble with just the sheer shitload of things going on on the screen which is extremely distracting... the lava drip thing, the falling rocks just a mess if you ask me.. I can get to this boss with almost full honour but just die because I get hit all over the place by all the AOE in the 2nd phase...

lol timed rooms are the easiest. at start just run into a corner and hope the elite wont spawn on you, then kill the mob that spawns at u when he does and chill in between. its so easy, its even boring.

I nearly cried dying the first time to....spikes....i kept hitting spikes
second time i reached the boss with 100 honour. Had to play a perfect game of not getting hit
one tip for the spikes; they do damage when they erupt from the ground, so if the spikes are already out you can safely run through them and that gives you the most time to get clear.
Died to honor with one hit from killing boss I'm sour and have nobody to cry too so I'm putting this here 😢
level 23 ice sorc and cannot get past 3rd room, but I will say, escape is easiest, followed by hourglass since you can just run around, chalice sucks since my DPS is so low, I cant wait to get to level 25 and buy some uber gear from the marketplace, sucks you cannot use it until then
PSA FOR FELLOW CONSOLE PLAYERS: the escape room trials are broken on console do not, I repeat DO NOT do them right now. Any enemy or item in the area of the crystal bugs out the interact prompt, and you WILL die form not being able to turn off the crystal in time
Take off any skill on the X or A button so you can interact with the crystal. Otherwise with enemy present, your X or A button goes to the assigned skill
