@@rosso.174man did you maybe go with. Range char or Speedrun him? Because last moment of second phase u literally can't walk because create a Shitload of portals
This video greatly helped me get past this boss. After losing this fight 20+ times, I was ready to hang it up. After watching this, I did a few dreadnought runs, focused on lightening resistance, and the fight was far more manageable. I couldn't get 70%, but 65% worked. Thank you publishing. A+
thanks lightning resist rings i had in stash and made all the difference, 1st phase was very quick and 2nd I just meleed him with tempest flurry and bell, cheers for the tip!
The problems with this boss.. His hit points are ridiculous for an act 2 boss . Second, he is in your face , glued to you.. you literally have to move nonstop , else he just runs all up in your personal space, and you have no time to do an ability because he has those lightning rods all over the place spinning around.. So by the time you try to cast, or shoot , or toss something, the rods are on top of you, or he is.. Its a ridiculous fight, and turning people off to the game. It has nothing to do with being good or bad at the game, its too much boss for such an early game fight.
For anybody that's a monk class I figured out that if I drop my unique staff of lightning and created a cold staff which ended up making my chest armor piece error out because I didn't have the strength that my unique staff gave me. I still ended up beating the final boss very quickly with just a cold quarter staff. Literally took me 5 minutes compared to the 40 deaths I've had with my other staff of lightning. Cold really hurts him
@@ODShic who said that's where I am? However, if it's not campaign then what is it? Doesn't change the fact that it's unfun and as more and more people reach it they saying the thing. @@tequila1039 finally beat last night(lvl35); - use frost wall. The consistent damage plus multiple freezes per duel is very good against him - learn the dodge timing for the overhead chop(2nd phase), and the light bolt + force lightning(1st phase, you can dodge towards him, then when you see the startup for force lightning you can dodge away). Roll into him or stick close to him when you see the startup for his sweep(2nd phase) - get lightening penentration - get more shielding(i had 200ES + 600HP) Hope this helps buddy. Good luck.
The first boss that might make me quit lol. I'll use your tips and see how it goes. I tried him at lvl 32 and failed, went back at 37 and still tickling his health
@astroprojects7275 no lol. Ended up creating a new character. I was using Blood Mage Witch before and now I Switched to Infernalist. I'm lvl 28 I've only died once to the Act 1 final boss cos I wasn't paying attention 😂. This one gives me hope, it melts everything
chasing lightning rods: found an easy way, just dance with the rods and move in a triangle motion, u get zero hits. Another less effective way is run along the edge of the circular arena, as the rods has to move in a triangle, it will slow them down. That said, run speed is important, otherwise get boots inc speed. Enjoy!
playing as a witch with a half decent infernalist build, sadly my character is too slow to avoid a lot of the attacks but still managed to whittle his health down to a quarter. Need to up my lightning defense a bit and maybe alter my spells/loadout
Really good video. In my opinion you address everything thats important to me in information i need to beat the boss. I needed to know which resistance to run, and how to survive the sand storm. I bet i beat it today now. Second day of trying.
This boss is way too overtuned. Even after farming and coming back and leveling up a few skills and such, I'm still getting melted in 4 seconds if I don't dodge faster
.... they AT LEAST tell the player how to survive the sandstorm. it's like a move that just 1 shot you without any feedback for what is happening other than your screen turning entirely white. who is going to notice statues first two times they fight this boss.
Yea this boss made me uninstall. First time I tried it I got him down to a sliver of health like you can barely see the health bar then one of his attacks was delayed by a long ways than all the other identical attacks. Gabe definitely rigged it against me
Update I finally beat him. First stage make sure you stay up his ass as you attack him and dodge role as he turns to look at you so the lightning doesn’t hit you. After that once he puts the spikes down electricity move around them and then repeat, the first step until the second phase.

Lvl 33 merc. For me, its like im seriously fighting this boss to even get close to winning. Twice he's almost at 1/4 health when i die. Im doing everything but my build does not do the damage to this boss like it should. 20 minutes of dodging and shooting and it should be OVER! Nah it just got started, even though i still have flasks and haven't taken much damage, He ends up one shotting. Whatever. Done trying
"Phase two is way easier" hahahah yeah right friend
well it is... I did first phase with -12% lightning resist ... that was fcking pain, kited second phase like a champ not much happening there
Yeah.. look at how he plays it. Over levels and then just facetanks all of the 1-shot abilities telling you to flask through it.
@@rosso.174 I do phase 1 without even losing HP and just cant get past phase 2. Day 2 of trying now.

i just did it finally. have to wittle the stuipd thing down with arc while circling from far outside. it really really sucks
i did it today lol 😭 it was crazy how many times i died my attacks where doing so little damage
I died 4 times in a row(0% lightning res). 5th try I only had 30% res + topaz charm and I made it. lightning res is a very good tip against this boss.
Good stuff!
