Just ordered the speediance works. The store I ordered through had a display model and I went and tried it. Was very impressed and ordered the same day.
Also, if you didn't know.. if you e.g. are bench pressing, and can't really get it up, but don't have a spotter mode etc. You can tilt one side and it will turn the weight off.
with the accessory on the finger?
@@aecoIT That doesn't matter. It's the tilting of the bar that does it.
Have (or will you do) you done a Speediance vs Vitruvian comparison?
I'm torn between the smaller vs larger screen. I'm thinking that since half the exercises are facing away from the screen... is it even worth it to get the larger screen? Thoughts?

Thanks for your ongoing coverage of this product. I got early bird pricing on the gym pal with adjustable bench and accessory rack for 1070 which was too good to pass up. I hope this company succeeds because I could see myself upgrading to the monster in a couple of years.
Is there any way to do pull-downs on it or The ability to use a cable squat belt. Also When it does the spotter mode and you bring it down and push back up? Does that weight reset to the original weight?
Did the new spotting options fix the issue with the weight not unloading fast enough like in your other video where you mention it could hit your toes?
Thanks for the video. Does the original Bluetooth accessory still come with the Speediance and with the new ring ? People may like the original Bluetooth accessory better than the ring.
I went to the Speediance web site and it looks like they went with cheaper plastic handles a step down from the original handles . I saw a video from another reviewer and he showed the new handles and they are Cheap !! The Bluetooth ones were better.
Now are the barbell j hooks an option that must be bought separately?
Also do you think that Speediance will come out with the option to allow the user to set the concentric and eccentric weight for what ever movement the user wants to use that on . Example: if I the user wanted to do a barbell curl and set the concentric weight to 40 pounds than the eccentric to 55 pounds ?
Speediance I think took a step back with the new packages and now the cheap handles that come with the machine and they took away the Bluetooth handles and the Bluetooth accessory that connected to the barbell.
I'm curious about Gym Pal but still saving my money for a Vitruvian trainer. That said, it will be interesting to see if the availability of devices like the Gym Pal will influence other companies to create less expensive products to compete in that segment of the market.
There are multiple products already on Amazon that offer a budget like vitruvian experience but they run 2k with no accessories. The Gym Pal so far seems like the most budget friendly best bang for your buck in that category right now.
in my opinion the limit remains the weight you can load i.e. about 100 kg, which is still not much even for an intermediate level person

Really like the machine, but very concerned about customer service in the future. Very similar to the TONAL, I've read nightmare situations from their buyers online.These types of machines will have issues in the years ahead, but will these manufactures be around to fix them???
Only down side is the weight limits to like 220
perhaps the only one because the price is also really interesting
Yeah, but all accounts are that the weight is 10-20% heavier than a barbell due to restrictions on momentum and the weight being applied evenly at all points in the movement.
Sure, if you are a 500 pound deadlifter, this isn't going to challenge you, but for other movements this is going to be plenty.
The tempo subreddit has someone there saying the company laid off half the the employees and ceo from a Facebook post from Coach Colby’s mom saying he also go laid off. Can you look into that?

Buyer Beware: The pricing is misleading on their website, with an "Early Bird Special" offered. I inquired and they told me the special ended. When I asked why it's still being advertised, they ignored me despite repeated requests. Terrible customer service, not to mention false advertising. Ask yourself if you want to fork over thousands for a product and subscription service in which the company refuses to communicate with you. I'd rather spend more money on their competitor.
I got the early bird special at 1070 for the package with the adjustable bench, accessory rack, free shipping, and lifetime membership. The lifetime membership is still offered with purchase. It's reasonable that the lifetime subscription is an "early bird" perk as that could go away at some point. Don't be grumpy just because you missed the deal.
@@balboa0621 Not grumpy about missing the special. Grumpy because they told me, quote, "Early Bird pricing has ended." And yet their website still advertises an early bird special. So which is it? All I asked was for them to clarify and they ignored me. If it ended, and it's still on the site, that's false advertising. Not to mention terrible customer service.
@@jeffg.3250 no, there is no false advertising. The gym pal says "early bird special" with the price clearly listed and the free lifetime membership included.
The gym monster still has $150 off.and lifetime membership, which is the current deal.
When I got the early bird pricing with accessories and membership, all of that was clearly identified.
1440 for the gym pal with bench and membership could still be a great deal, but it depends on the reviews. I couldn't pass on the deal when I ordered, but at this price it is worth waiting until it ships (which it will later in the month). If it delivers on quality--and the gym monster apparently has--then the gym pal still represents an incredible bargain.
