@Kinggodzilla16 same. I like the intensity Glover brings to it. Also, the Jamaican posses (sh1t happens), the Mexican gangs, the stressed out LAPD, the hot weather all add to that intensity. Lastly, the Predator here was meaner and reckless 😆
It's whack to think it did so poorly at the box office when you consider all the other crap it was up against ay the box office. The make-up for predator in AVP is actually of poorer quality than that of the first 2 movies

People dont get most of these super stunts done in the 90s are basically illegal today or completely avoided because the production dont have the balls and the skills we took for granted back then. Thats why action movies will never be as good as they used to be. Jackie Chan flicks could never be done today, almost everything is a safety violation. Those movies would be over their budget in fines and legal fees.
I can brag that I saw P2 in the theater. The ending scene with all of the Predators was mind-blowing as you before, you never imagined there being more than one at a time. You take two great movies and add on top an EPIC movie soundtrack!
They wont make.movies like this anymore cause all the old directors and writers brought good ideas and less cgi affects....gone are good all days when movies were blockbusters even on VHS.

I think Predator 2 is one of the most underrated sequels of all time.
It might not be the best but it's good!!

Aliens & Terminator 2 tend to overshadow it but yes it's underrated

the direction was bad in the second movie. John McTeirnan (original) is a much better director.
