I had *exactly* the same adventure figuring out the KNS for my 556 mini jack, including emailing pictures of my caliper measurements to KNS.

One of the biggiest draw back i had bout the mini jack is the rear trunnion dilemma. Glad to see u had it converted, this is would be a great krink like gun !

Awesome video. Very very informative but also entertaining. I could sit and listen to you all
Day I think! Great job on the ak smith. Month turnaround is amazing. My average on a couple builds is over a year. You nfa items. Did you do them as an individual or a trust? Single digit on a trust. Well that would tempt me….

Appreciate the kind words!! All of my NFA items I file as an individual. I hear, and also looking at info online, that form 4 trusts are in the single digits. But form 1 trusts are still way up there in the triple digit averages

I have a full size jack in 556 and 5 545 mags with the pod arms followers. With each one the mag will allow two rounds to come out before the bolt closes. So my gun will eject the empty brass and two live rounds each time I fire. It happens with all my 545 mags consistently but not the beryl or dedicated 556 mags. Pod arms says it’s due to the WBP bolt being AKM spec instead of 74 spec. Could you make a follow up video about the reliability of mags when you get to shoot this please?

Oh dang! Yeah I definitely will. I have am East German bakelite coming today that I'm also going to put a Pod Arms follower, so now I'm really interested to see how they function. Does that same thing happen when you manually cycle the bolt with rounds in the mag?

@ it does not when you manually cycle only when firing. I have three East German bakes and two Russian plums that happens in.

@Grassnicad29 GRATE. We'll find out soon enough if I wasted 3 Benji's on mags that won't work in my particular gun! 😩

So I was finally able to hit the range and try out my two Izzy plums and East German bakelite with the Pod Arms followers. All ran fine with no issues. Tried M193 and 77gr OTM

Podarms converted mags run fine in mine, but thats the risk you run with converted mags unfortunately. Podarms himself says that ymmv

    Really, 500$ sounds pretty fair.

I think so, also. But I know some people will look at that compared to the price of the gun and be like "nahhh"
