Mine is very picky. Worked when my sister tried before it worked for me, on my own phone. I find that you have to a apply a quite a bit of force/pressure for it to work properly.
It's a bit delayed but it does work. Also keep in mind some app developers didn't have enough time to optimize their apps for iOS 14 yet so it might improve when they update their apps.

Back Tap is Apple's approach to removing the power and volume buttons. Eventually there will be a "side tap" or two or 4 and you'll use that to control volume and power (or anything else you program it to do).

To be clearer, this only works on iPhones that have a glass back. If it’s not working the first time and your iPhone is supported, then just restart your iPhone. It worked for me!

Shits annoying more than useful. I have it set to my flashlight and camera and it keeps opening/turning on the assigned apps when not needed then I have to fight to turn it back off as it’s not quite responsive or just close em normally. I deactivated mine a second ago..
I have a question, I have triple tap to Lock Screen. However, sometimes I just randomly tap my phone randomly when bored or it may shake sometimes. This triggers the back tap. Please can I ask why, if it’s been tapped more than three times? If that makes sense, I’d appreciate any reply
Restart the phone and test it with the home option. If it works there then it may be the features are just not very good. Apple might have to fix this as some users are having issues with it.
Ohh yeah I probably mentioned it a while ago but I did actually change my MacBook last year. Wish I waited a bit longer for the new Apple chipset MacBooks but it's ok.
Try restarting the iPhone and also keep in mind it’s still something that Apple has to improve. Some options work better so play around with the ones you choose.
Yes it's a bit tricky but create a shortcut in the shortcut app to open Snap then set the backtap to that shortcut. I think I'll make a video on this as it is pretty useful.

For me, it only works on or above the Apple logo.
Actually there is no sensor for this on the back, it just works with 2 or 3 jerks that gyro sensor feels.

Its just a bug, some times it works sometimes not... doesnt really matter how you tap it. Will probably be fixed in the future?
I think this option only works with newer iPhone versions, because I have an older iPhone.

Restart the phone and try a different option. Some are a little glitchy. Locking the phone works perfectly for me though.

Unfortunately they didn't roll it out for the iPhone 7+ I believe iPhone 8 and later have it.

Some apps allow shaking the iPhone to report an issue or to undo text etc. So it would trigger the shake option but only where it applies.

It’s recognizing the triple tap. Once you tap it 3 times it engages. It won’t wait to see if you tap more.

Add the battery widget on the Home Screen like I show in the video. You just choose the widgets you want to add from the list.

If there isn’t an option then you might be able to create a shortcut using the shortcut app to call someone. Then set the back tap to that shortcut.
