I just put this same type windshield on my wife's Honda Rebel CMX. It does deflect some wind off your chest, but I don't think it does much to keep the wind off the helmet... maybe a bit.
It definitely helps against the wind on your body.. but when you get a smaller screen it will not bring all the wind to your helmet. So I think you will be happy whit a smaller one. Also looks better on the bike.
Thanks for posting this! My Rebel directs the wind right at my helmet making the wind noise intolerably loud really bumping up how bad my tinnitus is. I've been looking at and considering 3 different Puigs including this one with the hope a windshield would direct the wind completely over my helmet and quiet things down. Looks like it may make it a lot worse. :-(
@@ridingoutloud975 Too bad. Puig uses a aerodynamic graphic that shows a dramatic reduction of wind to the helmet. A claimed helmet protection of 67% from wind compared to 15% w/o this shield. Guess I'll skip it as I'm finding others saying it directs wind right at your head. I need less not more.
Yes I posted a pic of what its supposed act like, and a main selling point is that it reduced the wind on my helmet....It doesnt, it certainly makes it worse. Few of the people on the forums are saying the same and I am only 5'10. You may need the taller touring version for it to send the wind over
ihad my puig on the Rebel 500(2019 year)for two months. it was so off center, couldn't center it, even adjusting one of the braces(it was out of alignment(bent) not that you could tell, the plugs that attach to the screen kept coming through the bracket holes, causing the screen to want to blow away. 4 attempts to center it, i gave up. took it off, set it out on the curb with all the parts needed to install(gave it away to anyone that wants it)i will/am looking for a better screen!!!
Had the same issue no wind on the body but deflected to the helmet. I added the small Puig spoiler to the top much better. Certainly did the trick

Se puede poner con el carenado del faro que viene de serie?

Thanks for your review, I was going to buy this, but I probably give it a second thought.
Kind of regret it now, also wish I got the clear screen instead of smoked

Tbh this guard makes the noise worse with much more turbulence around the helmet, but less on the body

I have the Givi guard, not had to use it yet 😁
Looks too big to me.
I have Dart screen looks much more in keeping with bike.
No wind noise on mine.👍
Mine sucked!
