Don rickles, the sultan of insult, the merchant of venom, the first bi-lingual comedian, and finally, just plain old Mr. Warmth, in fine form. The world lost a legend when he left. I hope he's resting peacefully, wherever he is.
@@vidRaTeR my guess would be that a lot of porters on trains back in the day were black (watch any old film from the 30s and 40s that takes place on a train)
Simply one of the funniest people that ever lived!!!!! He always took it right to the line, while at the same time you know it's all fun, and not mean spirited!! RIP Don!!
Rest in Peace, Don Rickles. Remember seeing you many times at Dodger Stadium back in the day. Great comic! You can hang out with the Rat Pack again in heaven.
RB2331 Not really, he was trying to turn the tables on Don, for a laugh. These guys volunteered for the gag, knowing it was going to be hilarious. Don did not disappoint.....
I seen DON RICKELS open for SINATRA the seats l was in you could look back stage n l seen SINATRA laughing so heard he came on stage with tears in his BLUE EYES, n started his show saying " THAT WAS HITLERS KID " R.I.P. BOTH LEGIONS❤😢😅❤❤❤❤
Funny stuff! Don was a very quick wit, he could pull jokes out of thin air and have you rolling in mere seconds. His put-downs of ex-California governor Reagan on the Dean Martin Roast series was a masterpiece.
My good friend Jeri, knew Don for years since his manager/producer Joseph Scandore was dating Jeri, and said at home Don was nothing like his onstage persona never cracking jokes or insulting anyone ...he introduced her to the Rat Pack and Steve Lawrence. & Edie Gourme’
Even as a kid, I was like why is Bill Russell the "Dean of Baseball?" Fine player. Good baseball mind and good fielder. Never much of a hitter. I was just unclear on how he got to be the Dean.
This was so hard to do. Don made it look easy. No one else can do this schtick. Comedians are the top of the entertainment food chain. As Jerry Lewis said, Milton Berle could put Lawrence Olivier under the table in two minutes. That's why there are 10,000 Shakespearean actors, and only one Don Rickles.
oh yeah, cause don rickles was really known for being clean and family friendly...

Knowbody in the history of comedy is as funny as Don. He would never practice or rehearse. Just go out and kill night after night. That kind of skill is rare. He was the best at his craft.
I think this was when Sax was in the middle of that streak of errors where he literally could not throw the ball to first for some reason. He was a good sport to get out there in front of Rickles.
in Tommy's book The Artful Dodger he wrote that Don said if you guys lose he's (meaning Tommy) gonna put a rope around his neck and get work as a balloon...then the team won the next four games proving that some guys will do anything not to listen to a lecture from Don Rickles...before that he said Lee Lacy wore trick or treat underwear that was when the Dodgers were down to the Phillies in the '77 NLCS....Don funny though he sounds mean, eh????!!!!!!!
To be insulted by Don was considered an honor.
He will be dearly missed.
Stephen Yount Right on.
It was a great honor
RIP Mr Rickles, you meant no harm and everyone who knew you loved you.
He's a nice guy.
He was so wonderful
"I'll call you whatever I want to call you!" Had me rolling on that one.

Don's now meeting Tommy at the gates and Don's roasting him dearly!!

.....And St. Peter is watching laughing hysterically
Hey tubbs get down to the end over there
Imagine him being a greeter at the pearly gates of heaven
I got the honor of meeting the legend while in the Marines. He always took the time to entertain the military. RIP Sir.

“He thinks he’s on a train and gonna make up my bunk”. Lmao
What does that line mean?

Man I wish I could think half as fast as Don Rickles did. RIP greatest comedian of all time.
No one made me laugh harder.......:)
Make another remark like that and you're gonna wind up in the Dominion Republic, in front of a wall. LOL
dude...the other line ...' you gotta stop having your wife be a maid' was beyond funny !
RB2331 The line was "I met the wife you got a lot of money, but how long you going to make the woman clean hotel rooms"
Goggles Paesano he was still doing this stuff, right to the end!
He had some close calls there but never got tagged.
“Friendly Colored Guy” Lmao
"coloured guy means great man" LOL
Lol😂😂
Nobody can insults people and get a way with it like Don did, none before and none after him. He was a comic genius all his life! R.I.P Don
this guy took down the whole teams confidence single handedly.
Simply one of the funniest people that ever lived!!!!! He always took it right to the line, while at the same time you know it's all fun, and not mean spirited!! RIP Don!!
My only regret in life is that I didn’t see Don Rickles live. Pure comedy and not a vicious bone in his body
he is sooooooooooooooooooo funny. a legend!!
The one and only Don Rickles.
"Do you still lock yourself in the bathroom with the radio on loud?" Love Rickles.

"The steel workers were starting to eye ya" hahaha only don rickles man

That man taught me how to attack and love all at once. LaSorda was a mans man.
Madlock is looking at him like he wants to make up his bed on a train!!
Don Rickles timing always on point. A genius.
Do you still sit in the bathroom with the radio on loud! I died!!!

"Tubs" @ 0:17 ........HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
all time favorite! What a character !
I may be a White Sox fan but I'm with those LA Dodgers Don Rickles was so funny insulting them. They don't make them like they used to.
This is right up there with that episode of Mr. Ed when he visits Dodger Stadium and bats against Sandy Koufax.
Mr Ed hit a inside the park home run lol
1 word......LEGEND. 👍👍👍❤❤❤
This is great,,,Don was a genius of comedy
Don't touch me now...I'll get sick. lol

Rest in piece Don Rickles.

Can't tell you how many times I've watched this---still laughing my ass off
Don Rickles was one of the few comics who could use race offence as comedy. He was truly a lovely guy, and didn't care what color people were.
Funny thing is.....in the UK nobody's ever heard of this guy!!! Just wonder how he'd 'go down' with the Queen?!!!
The black butler on the train and the dominion republic comments were awesome
We lost one of the greats when he departed this life

It its on my bucket list.......to go to Vegas and get insulted by Rickles
Well...you can check that one off your list !
I've never seen this one before. Thanks lol
That went pretty well.

I love the way he runs
Love this guy the best
The best of all time!
Classic Rickles his Lasorda walk was classic
They should play this before every Dodger game.
in Tommy's book The Artful Dodger he wrote that Don said if you guys lose he's (meaning Tommy) gonna put a rope around his neck and get work as a balloon...then the team won the next four games proving that some guys will do anything not to listen to a lecture from Don Rickles...before that he said Lee Lacy wore trick or treat underwear that was when the Dodgers were down to the Phillies in the '77 NLCS....Don funny though he sounds mean, eh????!!!!!!!
"put a rope around his neck and get work as a balloon..." that's funny .. thanks for the laugh!
Norm Macdonald, if I recall, has cited Rickles as an influence.
