I usually ask myself 3 questions: Am I the only one collecting gold? Am I trying to go fast (finish a challenge or an assignment or something quickly)? Am I in an EDD? If the answer is no to all three, I go for it. It is probably more efficient to just do missions fast and get the payout, but I play haves to have fun, and I only have cosmetics and the occasional promotion left to spend creds on, so I’m in no rush.
Minings hard work, good thing we're dwarves. If I'm going for exp I grab it, if I'm not doing anything I grab, unless my groups decided to speed run missions we usually mine it up unless it's in a terrible spot.
