This is hands down the best and most straight to the point video on youtube. Can you please do a video on how you would ship packs of cards or bigger card orders.
Dude, I've been waiting for a video like this from someone for ages! Always thought it was weird how everyone just seemed to already know how this process worked. Thanks for looking out!
Thank you so much for this. It is because of content creators like yourself that help those of us less experienced with these difficult parts of the hobby. I always appreciate how you also share the mistakes you make or have made. Great stuff!
Just getting started and I appreciate the hand holding lol. I bought a shipping label before I knew what I was doing so the packing tape tip saved me here. I listed a lot of cards before ever doing a sale so I was a bit overwhelmed. Thank you !
I reuse those and I keep all my cardboard I even started keeping plastics and just cut everything down to sizes I need so it will save on space. Using freezer paper making my own sleeves. I'm always looking for ways to save. I just started melting my plastics like soda bottles, caps plastic bags etc. So stuff dont bend
I just began cars collecting and posting videos of rips, I’ve been stressing about the selling/shipping aspect so this helped tremendously. Thank you, sir!!
Man thanks, i sincerely appreciate it, ive had cards i knew i could profit from for a long time, but being a collector at heart and with little ebay experience, i refrained from doing it...fast forward and 3 leg surgeries later, money has become, well obviously, and this cant be understated, a necessity. Obviously money is a necessity for everyone, but when the hospital bills hit 6 figures, money was - and is- needed from any source. So thank you for your video. If i ever had any questions (could i reach out). If not, say for privacy reasons, i understand. Semper Fi'.
I've watched a lot of videos on this topic lately and you hit it out of the park!! Thank you for taking the time to go over each step. You put this out in an easy to view/learn way and it was well received.
Another great video. I am starting my own eBay store in January 2025 and this is by far the absolute best video on the topic of shipping. My girlfriend got me a thermal label printer for Christmas and I have all the other supplies. Thank you for posting this.
Great video! I dont use any tape of any kind directly on slabs or top loaders. Even painters tape leaves a greasy sticky residue. Folding over and sticking down the team bag keeps the card in place in the toploader
I have boxes and boxes of sports socks I got at a storage auction, so I make sure to wrap each card with an old sock and put it in a bubble mailer. Works great !
This might be a dumb question.. but on the cheap cards going in the white envelope.. are you putting a label on that and dropping it off to the Post office?
Thank you so much, this will help a lot when I try to sell on whatnot or even Ebay. This will help me so much in my sports card journey. You're the best, keep up the good work! you earned a follow.
Tip: When printing a label on paper (my method), make sure you cover the entire label with clear tape when you affix it to your package. Water or other liquids can ruin a paper label (or almost any label for that matter) making it undeliverable. I see no need to invest in a label printer and shipping labels, but that's just me. I also change the default 1200 DPI to 600 DPI setting before printing. Saves on printer ink. Look for close outs on tape and other shipping supplies at Office Max, Office Depot, etc. I bought 20 rolls of Scotch 3M 1.88"x1000" clear packaging tape in the red dispensers that's normally $3.29 a roll for $0.50 a roll several years ago.
I do pretty much the same. Another tip... any paypal account holder can get discounted shipping through their website for anything they are shipping outside of the ebay shipping system. Cheers!
Much appreciated man, without a doubt!! Excellent video, very helpful, simplified and informative! If it wasn't for shipping woes and concerns about how, and the best way to do it, I would like to think I would have already been selling a ton more than just the ones and twos here and there. Thanks again dude, this was exactly what I was looking for!
Great video 👍🏻, I just had one question what do you do after you print the label apply it to the Box? Do you just drop it in the mailbox or do you have to go to the Post office?
You can schedule USPS to pick up your package (your mailman). Just create an account with USPS, then Google, "USPS Schedule Pick-Up". Fill in a few details and then basically your mailman gets notified to pick up your package from your front porch (when they come to deliver your normal mail for that day). You just want to put it somewhere, where people walking by on the sidewalk won't see it. But, yeah, 100% free and you can do it whenever you want, there's no limit.
❓What if it’s a 75-100pt patch card that’s sells for $1-$20? Are you using a standard envelope or upgrading the shipping to advantage and using a bubble mailer?
My only work around for this is using Adobe acrobat to open the label/pdf, click edit, then flip it to the right orientation, then crop. After that you can just hit print and it’s all good from there.
Thank you for the information, will try using ebay instead of usps click and ship which sets me at the 4 bucks, around there. Would love some ideas on sending smaller price cards like 1 or 2 dollar, keeps getting messed up at usps. If anyone has ideas please help, tried to do the way shown in video as well. And looking into it.
usps branch does not accept ebay standard envelope label. There is a trading card inside the label. I followed all the terms of use. But usps won't accept it. It says it will count it as a package and I have to pay extra. Please help me.
New to listing cards on eBay, just ran into an issue after listing 30+ cards. It only gave me the option for USPS Ground advantage or priority mail. Not for envelope, any reason for this? It’s just a $3 card…
So what do you do after you put the shipping on put in your mailbox or throw it in a public mailbox or take it to the post office you left out the most climactic part
Great tips, thanks! Let me offer you some advice, instead of ripping the painters tape off the roll like a Neanderthal, cut it straight with scissors and fold a small portion over onto itself to create a tab. This makes it soooooo much easier for the buyer to pull the tape off. Sure it take about 30 seconds more but your buyers will thank you for it.
Tip for both of you would be, A. Cut your tape not rip it, you'd use way less and save money. B. Cut the tape and dont peel it with your fingers, that will make it easier and save both parties time
@@jhobbs6366 yes, this is great advice for graded cards. However, when cards are shipped in a plain white envelope and sandwiched between 2 pieces of cardboard, cutting the tape to open is not always possible. Way easier to remove if there is a tab.
Im abit confused on the eBay label seemed cheaper than the pirate site?.. what dictates using the pirate site over eBay? They both print labels in this video right?
Cards for sale on eBay that you offer free shipping seem to sell a lot more and faster then having the buyer pay. Then you need to adjust your price to make sure you include the shipping costs which is usually under $5. Can you show how to setup the shipping when listing a card?
Do you use the 4X6 labels on the eBay standard envelopes? I guess part of the label will fold around the envelope since it’s a little smaller than a 4X6 label
Using a PWE and an eBay envelope label, one card in a top loader, can I put it in my mailbox for pickup, or drop in any mailbox? or do I need to drop it at the post office in the parcel box?
I just had someone used method one and it showed up creased sideways across the center and the envelope had a pronounced outline of the top-loader. The card was 10$ so it followed your logic but it clearly didn't handle well in the USPS mail. I wish they had cardboard for this one. It was a thicker team patch card.
I delivered the mail for 6 months and the new people, and the veterans, do not care about your mail. Just pack it very well and imagine it going through a tornado and then being run over by a car and ending up at the bottom of the mail bin under hundreds of pounds of mail and packages. Honestly! I am not joking.
I tried this today using the eBay envelope. Bought some envelopes on Amazon and some cardboard. But I was denied at USPS and had to pay an extra $5 to ship it, she didn’t explain at all why this was the case. Any advice?
Great video! Never thought about the label printer but that’s a game changer for sure. What are your thoughts on consignment companies for selling sports cards rather than create the listing and posting the cards yourself? I watched another video where a guys says that consignment fees are sort of the same eBay fees and you don’t need to go through all the listing creation, take pictures, shipping etc.. I’d really appreciate your feedback on this! Thanks
This might be a dumb question.. After card is put into bubble mailer, Label is sticked on. Are you bringing it to the post office or are you just dropping it off at the post office or are you just putting it in your mailbox what’s your process when you are mailing it
For the cards you are putting into an envelope under 20 dollars are you just putting a stamp on them? And if you are not is there a reason you can not just buy a stamp and mail it out?
ry informative. I'm going to start my whatnot for auction football and basketball and baseball cards. Yes, I am a little intimated by this. Sports is my passion. So a person wins and auction, let's say auction #22. I put a sticker on the loader for the card labeled #22. So when the auction is done, I assume you pull up by their tag on the screen when it's time to find out what they won. So , the package and shipping, scares me. It's sports cards , so they are light, only if u have 1. How do you determine weight. Do I just use a flat rate envelope? I have a printer , is the the label as easy as just taping it on?I basically need kitchen english on this one. Do I need a business name, can I just use my tag name on whatnot? Thank u for your guidance
Somebody actually explaining the step by step properly and with no waffling on. Gotta love it.
I use a Zebra label printer. Best $150 I've spent. No ink needed for it, prints well and fast. Thanks for the video!

Hey for the cheaper cards is top loader serve the tape and a piece of paper enough to secure it?

Much more intuitive than the videos I’ve watched before. Thank you for posting.
Reusing the bubble mailers is the best thing I've learned over the years
I reuse those and I keep all my cardboard I even started keeping plastics and just cut everything down to sizes I need so it will save on space. Using freezer paper making my own sleeves. Envelopes you can just print directly onto the envelope
saved me so much time once i figured it out

A suggestion when taping the shipping label on the envelope. Tape over the tracking # to avoid any smearing...

Just like you, I learned everything the hard way. Thanks for making this video. Hope new sellers won’t have to go through the headaches like we did.
litterally broke it down perfectly, most people add all this nonsense but you were straight to the point! thank you
Video of the year.! Thank you again Trike for helping us out

Just what I was looking for, thinking about listing for the first time
Good luck on your journey! 😁
just started selling on ebay and this was right down my alley. Your stuff is always very informative but I super appreciate this!! Thank yoU!
Really glad I could help! Best of luck with your eBay journey

A sock??? Sheeesh! How unprofessional!
Such a straight forward video. Appreciate the tips, couldn't find anyone that explained it this easily.
keep it up bro
Thank you bro! Really appreciate it
extremely level headed individual. extremely reasonable and normal. thank you so much for the help!
Thank you! This really helped when overwhelmed at the beginning.
I’m so glad whatnot gives you shipping labels
This is one of the best videos I've ever seen
I needed this, I probably spent more on shipping than actually making a profit. Thank you
Thx guy, I’m new and needed a better way of shipping👍

Do people put the labels on regular white envelopes?
This is one of the best videos. Love the step by step. I learned so much!
Thanks. Once you print and put the label on the package what do you do with the package? Bring to post office or put it in the mail?
What’s the best way to package a thicker card like a patch card under $20? In an eBay envelope

Can you both recommend one?

Do you drop them off at the post office or at the mail box?
With the standard envelope, do u just use a stamp or 2
Your doing well for yourself, I respect that.

in the process of selling my first card rn, super helpful video!
all great tips for the boys new to this and even some that are a bit more experienced but maybe didnt know some of this.

the ones you put on the envelopes where do you get the stamps?
amazing video bro! appreciate the whole shipping breakdown.
once the label is printed and the package is ready to ship, can these just be dropped in to a blue USPS mail box?
Thanks for this video! I referred back to it several times through the process. I just sold my first card! Zay Flowers A to Z. Thank you!
So do I just go into my local usps office and drop it off in the mailing bin and walk off it’s that simple ??
