What tools are on your list?

Great list. A decent screwdriver set is essential too. I have the Quinn 15 piece set from HF. They work well. I upgraded from the yellow handled Pittsburgh set that sells for like 5 or 6 bucks. I have no issue with Pittsburgh, most of my hand tools are Pittsburgh, including all my wrenches, regular and impact sockets, adjustable wrenches and pliers. Those screwdrivers were just not good.

Depends on what exactly one will DIY ... but maybe a decent set of clamps? Always gotta be holding stuff down or together, useful over a wide range of projects.

Good stuff, I work on the principle that I buy the cheapest reasonable tool first and if I kill it quick I buy a better one. If you still have the cheap tool 4 years later you definitely didn't need the fancy one.
