If you are having trouble seeing out of the helmet, I would suggest to get theater goggles and hook it up to a mini camera and put the camera in the chin somewhere and the theater goggles behind the eyes. That way you can do I heads up display

looks very good.....waiting for finished suit.
I don't have any experience combining printed parts with soldering iron but I would be interested seeing how it would work using some 1.5mm filament as soldering wire, either fed into the iron or as a laywire. if you could make a good enough join on the backside maybe you can forgo soldering the visible side
the backside is fairly strong and i have actually used extra filament to melt pieces together before, I just prefer to melt the front too because it prevents flexing and cracking the bondo I use.
can't wait to see more. I am almost done with the warmachine helmet :D 3d printing a suit on one printer is.. painfully slow :P

Bearings for the joints? I’ve found rod ends from cars work perfect for heavier armor. It’ has the perfect range of motion while supporting all the weight.
