- Eggs are usually one of the top items on a grocery list - unless you’re vegan, of course. Whenever you’re running out of time and are in need of a quick and easy dish, eggs are there to the rescue.
Whether you want them scrambled, boiled, poached, or fried, all you need to do is open the fridge and crack them open, but did you know that the way you traditionally store your eggs may not be the freshest way to do so?
You’ve been storing eggs wrong this whole time, and it's time to mend your ways. There is never a substitute for freshness.

What's your go-to way to eat eggs (scrambled, over-easy, etc.)?
I love scrambled and over easy and hard boiled. I'll take them any way.
I love them as an omelet with onions, mushrooms and salsa and whatever else.
I like them over easy or sunny side up with a yolk that runs so I can dip and have that buttery piece of absorb the yolk and enjoy eating that liquidy yolk.
I crack them over my mouth and eat the peel
Socially and internetally distanced from your awful content, so it's my go-away way.
Like this 🍳 lol
Not putting it in the fridge for sure.
“Egg manufacturers”? As in hens?
Nice one.
LOL
😃😃😃
Hmmmmmm
Don't forget to THANK the CREATOR of those hens & eggs. GOD ALMIGHTY
Me, living in a tropical country who doesn't store eggs in the fridge: *nervous sweating*
In South African markets they are not kept in the fridge so i don't do it either🤷♀️
I got pet chickens. Free eggs.

For over two years now I have been keeping Canadian grocery store bought eggs on my kitchen counter, sometimes longer than three weeks, and I have never gotten sick from eating them over easy.
Not a smart move buddy. The eggs produced in north America go through a different process than the rest of the world
@@mosesbuddhajesus3362 I have been doing this for three years now and have not had any health issues.
Joe Sigl Buddha is right, our eggs are washed after that shell become porous and and bacteria gets into it at room temperature,,other countries don't wash them so protective coating stays on,,so if you see Shyt on eggs don't panic just wash before use and no need to refrigerate...
This is really for the US only. It is perfectly healthy if you keep eggs at room temperature as long as they have not been refrigerated from farm to store. In the USA the eggs are washed which removes their natural protective coat, and they then need to be refrigerated to replace that safety. But if they haven’t been washed or refrigerated from farm to store there’s no reason to keep them in the fridge at home.
They dont refrigerate them in the supermarket here in the UK so neither do I.
Because the chickens in the Uk and EU are vaccinated
@@mosesbuddhajesus3362 I'm a USDA inspector for eggs & guess what? ALL commercial flocks are vaccinated. It is safer to keep them at 45 or below. Personally I usually leave mine out on the counter at room temp. up to a couple weeks. Never had any problems with them.
You should've mentioned only for USA, since in Europe. Eggs don't have to be in the fridge
Why?
@@TomJerry-hh4bz In Europe we don't put chemicals on the shells that necessitates refrigeration. We store our eggs at room temperature and they're fine.
I have my own chickens. Really fresh eggs will last up to a couple months or more if they’re not washed. Are usually do not refrigerate eggs , For one thing they don’t last that long I eat them. Eggs at 70° for quite some time. From the grocery store, I always refrigerate. They’re unprotected because they’ve been washed. Once you refrigerate the bus stay refrigerated.
Never put eggs in the fridge. Always left then out for weeks and been totally fine.
Scotland
Thats because youre not in North America
@@mosesbuddhajesus3362 👍
You need to fridge them in tropical countries too.
What a pointless video. Eggs aren't getting bacteria from 1.5 seconds of slightly warm air, especially considering that they don't even need to be refrigerated, as mentioned in this video itself. Pff.
Eggs outside US don't have to be in a fridge
*only in America. Most other countries in the world don’t need to chill eggs. USA heat treats eggs and removed the protective layer, hence why they need to be chilled always.
Eggs are only lightly refrigerated in stores (in Europe). When carrying them home, the package gets rotated and the yolks move. You can't put everything in the coldest place of the fridge. That space is reserved for milk, butter and meat products. Not many other things you can safely store in the door. If the eggs are too cold, they are more likely to crack in hot water.
My fridge has the egg shelf inside and stays at 35° which is much lower than 45°
I hope my eggs are being stored properly because I would like to have a healthy baby someday.
Good one!
I kept big carton of eggs in the top shelf (coldest part ) of fridge and they started cracking. Perhaps that place is too cold for them. They should be either kept inside box tray or middle/ bottom shelf if not covered
No I haven’t, because I’ve always done as the video suggested.
This video really doesn't need to exist
Uh yes it does. You'll get fresher eggs by storing them properly, and it also gave different methods to storing eggs in bulk
I very much agree
@@MrMrannoying Your name says it all
How long can i store a face mask with eggs?
I get eggs cracked in frig at least 2-3 from the bunch, and they are useless, no more, I will store them on a counter and eat in 2 weeks or less
As someone who doesn't really eat eggs, I guess I'm exempt for now lol
You are on almost all the videos I watch.. from anime to games to anything!!
The best way to preserve eggs is to not wash them and store them submerged in lime water
Fresh eggs can be store for over a year
They aren't stored in fridges in france
yeah yeah yeah we store eggs at room temperature and we havent died yet....get outta here
Write the date you purchased them on to the carton .
My gma kept her eggs on the counter in a bowel but she would go get them from the chickens,, I heard u can freeze them?
This Should have been titled "You've been storing eggs right your entire life."
HAHAHAH LOL! I love it!!
I love omelette 😃😝
In Europe we don't keep keeps in a fridge
Why?
@@f.rahman2794 because the here eggs are not industrially washed and sprayed with chemical sanitizer. This removes the natural flora and protective coating of the egg which naturally preserves it. Our eggs are cleaned but not scrubbed and sprayed.
Hey mashed
eggcellent
When you have been clickbaited into watching a crappy video.
So whats the answer?
I never refrigerate my eggs and eat them within 3-4 weeks, cooked of course. Never had an issue
zzz /// - If you ever have any doubt, do the water bath check. If they sink, they’re good. If they bob above the water surface (or 1/2 way), toss them. If they float right below the surface, they’re ok to eat immediately. But break then smell them first. They’re almost always ok. Don’t ever eat those raw.
Who keeps eggs for 5 weeks. Not me mg eggs are gone in 7 days; every week. But I do have a question is it good to keep the same carton.?Cause people on my job get eggs off a farm
I love my eggs over easy with sour dough toast even on the toast with a sluce of cheese melted under egg on toast yummy
Holy SHIT you can freeze eggs! WOW!
Says someone from the country that washes eggs in who knows what.
💥 2:01 These eggs are stored in the WRONG position. This is point up and they should be stored point DOWN…!! 🥚
So people in Europe crack room temperature eggs, and they still have poop on the shell?? Not being nasty, but isn't that true??
I have chickens and their eggs are really clean. I see the occasional pine shaving on one, but never any poop. The only time we refrigerate them is if they get wet (rained on). Super tasty and last a really long time
I wash my eggs before I eat them, so I don't have that problem!
A proper nesting box should eliminate chicken 💩
Everyone will keep doing the same thing after watching this
What is salmonella?
What about to clean the eggs first?
Then answer why European countries sell eggs and store eggs at room temperature
John Reagle They don’t clean them/remove the natural protective coating that is the last step I. The laying process
Wrong , all wrong
If in Europe... your eggs are NOT chemacly washed. This means they have their natural protective coating against salmonella etc.
Just keep them out off the fridge. This will make them easier to cook. Too cold eggs will split into watery waist once in the pan.
You can keep them in a fridge, but let them come up to room temperature before cooking.
Oh rly
Don't store them in the fridge.
Lol. Fridge...I have kept my eggs on kitchen counter over the years. Haven't gotten sick.
What are the key points to remember this video??

Eggs in the fridge do not taste like eggs after cooking so you are talking poop
I eat vitafarms eggs raw
omg, the narrator is some weird Asian person. She isn't a native english speaker! So weird.
