This bug reset our ranks?! | Apex Legends Season 21 Ranked

We encountered a weird ranked bug, which placed us in a rookie game. We were diamond/plat at the time of playing. We theorized that it is a bug or cheat from someone that resets everyone's rank for a game. But in the end we ended up gaining the points from a rookie game. It is most likely some form of abusable glitch, but we do not know how it happened.
