The song was great! I definitely liked how I can feel the emotional changes depending on the lyrics. The strong build up was on point and really loved it:) Kyo sings like he's in the story himself. Felt like you were in it too. Sorry if I sounded confusing lol. It's definitely one of the most complicated song ever. The snake is talking about how beautiful the butterfly looks, and talks about how good she might look in a snake skin. Is the snake saying he'll give himself away to make her look good? But in the end the butterfly gets eaten. By the snake? Not sure but it gets eaten before it becomes a butterfly. Seems like it's showing mother nature in a very haunting and cruel way while also seeing the beauty within. But then again, I see a man (snake) falling in love with a girl looking at her from far away, then ends up with somebody else and describing that heartbreak as that girl (butterfly) getting eaten. And the guy saying hey, I might look good on you. I'll give you myself away. But not really sure. That's just my perspective. Feels like it's expressing extremely painful "heartbreak".
The Kyo's true meaning of the song is still a mystery to me >___< it's very complex. The theme of a breakup was present in his writing more than several times in Kisou and preciding era, so macabre may also focus on that. I see also a theme of a "predator and prey" weaved into romantic relationship.
Oh, now that you say, it definitely does look like that too. Now I'm more confused lol. Then in the mid or near the end it switches to the butterfly's perspective? Very confusing. First the snake talks. Then switches to become the butterfly? Kyo really turns into the character inside the story to really show the story/world. I definitely absolutely liked how I can feel you were inside the story more than before. I'll say it again but it was great!
