The Garibaldi Brigade is a piece composed in Castagneto di Ramiseto (Reggio Emilia) in the spring 1944, as the Garibaldi Brigades anthem.
The Garibaldi Brigades were partizan brigades created by the Italian Communist Party in the Italian civil war, that took place during the World War Two.
The words were written by a partizan group from Reggio Emilia, and especially Mario Bisi and Rinaldo Pellicciara. The tune sounds as a typical XIX century march.
    Clear the way!
    The Garibaldi Brigade is passing.
It's the finest and strongest ever.
    Clear the way!
    When they are passing
    the enemy runs away.
We are proud, we are strong
    to defeat the invader.
The youth is in our heart.
    It's symobl of our victory.
    We always go fast
and we have plenty of glory.
The red star on our forehead.
    Freedom we bring.
    To the oppressed people
    we'll give their freedom again.
    With the machine gun
    and with hand bombs
    to the fascist betrayers
    we'll give a lesson.
    We fight for Italy
    for the ideal people.
    For Italian people
    we'll always fight.
