A little packing tip for anyone who sees this… get different color stickers or tape for each room so you don’t have to write on them.. saves a little time and easier to distinguish when you get to your destination.

Tara my husband and I recently moved and we also had about a month of overlap and the places were quite close to each other so we did exactly what your dad suggested. We would do a load in our car everyday (almost). The level of exertion for that was on the scale of light cardio so we actually enjoyed it then by the end we started taking apart actual furniture and moving it using our car! We had booked movers but ended up canceling them because our move was soooo easy and gradual. Best part is that since we were doing small loads at a time, we would immediately unpack the load at the new place so when we finally fully moved in, everything was already put away and organized ❤️
I was literally cry while you showed us the house. And to see the excitement on your face was EVERYTHING!!! I’m so happy for you and may this house and nee journey only bring you happiness and joy.

You got this Tara! When I moved from my apartment to my house I made a “donation” pile then a “trash” pile. Then I packed up things I know I don’t use daily such as board games, extra bathroom stuff, bedding/towels/ linen etc. I packed away all my shoes and left an open box with shoes I use for work. Same with winter coats and clothing. Kitchen stuff I packed what I don’t use such as those big pots and pans and all these extra bowls plates cups etc. so excited to see your kitchen!
Literally so blown away by the bathrooms. The black borders on the mirrors is every-thing! Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. Your home is just beyond aesthetic. Amazing job! The floors are perfect, the thick ledges on the stairs are perfect. Gah! Must be so incredibly satisfying to see it all come together.

You got this Tara! When I moved from my apartment to my house I made a “donation” pile then a “trash” pile. Then I packed up things I know I don’t use daily such as board games, extra bathroom stuff, bedding/towels/ linen etc. I packed away all my shoes and left an open box with shoes I use for work. Same with winter coats and clothing. Kitchen stuff I packed what I don’t use such as those big pots and pans and all these extra bowls plates cups etc. so excited to see your kitchen!
This makes me SO excited for my house to be done in a few weeks! Bring on moving day!!

Literally so blown away by the bathrooms. The black borders on the mirrors is every-thing! Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. Your home is just beyond aesthetic. Amazing job! The floors are perfect, the thick ledges on the stairs are perfect. Gah! Must be so incredibly satisfying to see it all come together.
