I had a neighbor back in the 70’s that would buy salvage title super cars and insure them as clean title cars in Arizona call them in stolen and collect big dollars they had done several before insurance investigators showed up at our / their condo complex and interviewed all neighbors asking if we had seen XYZ cars in their parking spots . Insurance investigators are the best detectives they make the police detectives look bad.

As a former tow truck operator, I have to agree. We hardly made any money since we operated honestly. The only reason we kept the towing portion of the business is it supplemented the body shop portion of the company I worked for.

They doing it to every country that people can fight elderly area. If they don’t pick it out pay for it they sell it their self They took my car the one that was by my house. They didn’t put the sign until the morning, but they said they put it that day earlier and they told my car when we spend , almost $900 to take it out

I was a long time local there and let’s just say if you know the city you know what’s going on there. Especially if you worked in a job that took you to every corner of the city and all parts in between. You can be too greedy.

Lots of towing companies are doing the same thing, and nothing happens. Someone "of importance" must have had their car towed, and told their buddies in the "just-us" department.

Tow Truck fraud in SF goes way back to Willie Brown & his brother in law. Over 20 years ago now, I was towed in SF before the allotted time. And the time on the tow slip was for 15 minutes after the 4pm posted tow time! Such a racket!!! This is an old game for all these grifters!
They should investigate every towing business
frankly this only got hot due to the vid of the truck trying to tow a car while in operation. that was mind blowing. once things get caught on camera... your f'd. no way to sweep that under the rug.

We had a local company tried to steal my brother's car because a plate was stolen and it was on the street. He saw us recording and left. We caught another guy towing cars our apartment. Turns out management hadn't called them.
