Y'all should make a vid compilation of all the 10 parts after you finish uploading them individually. That would be great.

Masdar is so , like , 3 days ago.
I've been playing the simulation but I can't seem to get the people to get along. I find it works better with just robots.

+The Daily Conversation 400k/head just in construction, let alone maintenance. Also, as if the cost wasn't enough, unless the city produces everything it uses, from food right through to computers, then it's not truly carbon neutral.

Why build insanely expensive cities? Maybe it's easier to improve villages?

instead of building the solar panal beyond the cities walls the solar panals should be placed on the sid eof the walls. In the inside wall (city side) they would only be placed up high, but on the outside they gould go from ground to the top of wall. You could have tracks between all solar panal rows that a machine on tracks could ride to repair replace or clean solar panals. In this was you save a ton of space.

I'm glad that they decided to spend some of their excess funds in such an experiment but I wonder if it amortizes the environmental costs of it's construction. I also would've preferred more architects to be involved so that more ideas could be explored. Very few actual cities are designed by just one person and some degree of competition could explore more concepts.

i believe following america's car culture will turn out to be a disastrous mistake. building & driving cars are bad ecologically. once you leave the toll ways (which might be very congested themselves) and enter city streets--massive congestion and noise and pollution.

Well, this is obviously a place for the rich and in a warm climate. Common people in the West could never afford to live in such a place, if it would work under winter conditions at all, with snow and ice. Nonetheless, an impressive construction!

I agree, but there are still places even here in Europe where they can make these kind og metropolises, for example, Spain, sunny dry, and warm, all within the southern portion of it of course, aswell as Italy, many sunny warm dry climates that don't see snow or harsh climates

If you siad : this kind of projects i prefer more than metal skyscrapers i would be considering respectfully wherever you say and appreciate your opinion in this matters, but unfortunately your last cheesy dig Showed that you are biased whas it for the right or the wrong reason it doesn't matter, you will be still biased, and suddenly all the appreciation for your work disappears and i would never take whatever you say seriously..i don't know maybe it is just me but that is the effect i started to get recently whenever i have an encounter biased point of view.

The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” countries, but they have destabilised society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human being to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in “advanced” countries.

So you still want to keep the ancient economic system in place-alive! Why! Are you afraid of a none economic system.
\you forgot to eliminate the money system within your project. What it would of done is to exponentially alleviate humans
away from war and more towards peace and equality.
You missed your mark -Humans-Again missed your objective for peace!
The money system is ancient-it was only good then to avoid exchanges of
live stock.they said lets make money representing our live stocks
By trading using coins of gold and silver as money. still used today
    and still in wars today!
You have solved nothing unless you inject the no money system within your new sample city.
Wars and conflicts will still exist unless you eliminate ancient thinking and acknowledge
    future thinking!
All you need to do is recognize the past and the future to live happily in the present!
How -you can ask me how but you will not understand it now.
Enjoy your wars and comfort by ignoring the rest of the world in pain.
You want to set an example city build the world according to Masdar and Vevusproject.
Between these both ideas will create a true sample city without ancient economics but
will enhance human evolution-which you have done for millions of years. Your
choice whether you want to continue to evolve or stay stuck in the past!
    Plant the seed

+john conte Money is absolutely necesary for the right performance of a society, because money works as a universal measure of worth. At least you want to produce all the goods and services you need to survive (which is impossible for a human) you will always need money. Even the most radical ideologies against capitalism realized that money isn't the problem but the unequal distribution of wealth and resources. Even Karl Marx said that money is necesary, socialism never eliminated the money althought they were obsessed with an utopic society.
