    Hello, I’ve been watching a lot of your videos and really enjoy how you explain everything and how clean and organized your set ups are. I was curious if you could let me know what those brackets are called that you use to hold up the pipes? Also, what is the part number or name of the check valve and feed fitting that brings water into the system? Thank you very much for your response and help

    • @JimSperanza
      @JimSperanza  Месяц назад +1

      Split ring clamps and ceiling plates. You can use a dual check backflow preventer for the water feed. Email me at speranzadevelopment@gmail.com if you'd like a design and parts lists or consulting on a build.

    Excellent video. Thank you. Is mixing valve needed for TILED (PEX inside the mud job) in floor radiant heat? Or is it only applicable for under hardwood floors?

    • @JimSperanza
      @JimSperanza  6 дней назад

      You don't want the floor surface temp to go above 85 degrees. You can run an max of about 125 degree water supply to the floor to achieve this. If this is the only zone on the boiler you can just adjust the boiler supply temp and you won't need a mixing valve.

    Nice woek Jim. Quick question where would the colde water supply line go in your system does it need a pressure reducer before it gets there

    Hello,
    I was surprised to see the manifold was open the whole way through.
    Maybe you can help me understand, why are the supply and return loops piped together outside the boiler?
    What does that do for the system?
    I answered my own question..... THAT'S A MIXING VALVE.
    Great video

    • @JimSperanza
      @JimSperanza  6 месяцев назад +1

      The manifold is used to hydraulically seperates the flow through the boiler and the flow through the heating zones.

    Good evening, I have a question I was hoping you can help me answer. I have the same combi boiler installed and I tired to do my yearly flush. On the domestic side it went no problem, I recirculated the descaled for 45 minutes, but when I tried to do the main heater exchanger flush I was unable to do so because the water would not circulate. Almost as if the three way valve inside was just stuck closed. How do I open that valve so I can circulate the descaled through the heat exchanger? Any input would be really appreciated. I’m stuck I have no idea how to get past this step. PLEASE HELP.

    So I have a question about combi boiler sizes. Id like to do a combi on a 2200 sf radiant heated slab in northern Indiana. How do you figure out what size boiler is needed to take care of the slab heat and domestic? Does a larger boiler use more gas than a smaller one in the 6 months or so that the slab heat isnt on? Is it better to get two separate boilers? Thank you

    What is a combi boiler? Haven't heard of that. Why have circulation pumps on each zone rather than valves?

    • @JimSperanza
      @JimSperanza  5 месяцев назад

      A combi is a boiler that provides heating and domestic hot water from the same unit. I typically use pumps for each zone because they are close to the cost of a zone valve and if a pump goes down you don't lose every heating zone.
