- Here are all 5 of Jonathan Jackson's daytime Emmy wins for his role as Lucky Spencer on General Hospital. During his time on General Hospital he was nominated a total of 9 times for the Daytime Emmy. He won his first 3 Emmys for best younger actor in 1995, 1998, and 1999. His 4th and 5th Emmy wins were for best supporting actor in 2011 and 2012. Jonathan Jackson originated the role of Lucky Spencer in 1993 at the age off 11. He played the role from 1993-1999 and again from 2009-2011.

I just absolutely love that Jonathan's first emmy was given to him by his onscreen mom and dad. The chemistry between Jonathan Jackson, Genie Francis, and Anthony Geary is amazing. They truly felt like a real family.
And he deserved everyone of them....👍

It's just been announced that Jonathan Jackson will be returning to General Hospital this summer. I'm so excited.
I love Rena Sofer’s energy when he’s all like “and that’s it” 😂😂😂❤. (JJ’s first win in particular was so wholesome, and I also love how Tony and Genie were standing by like they were his real-life parents ❤).
I love him SO MUCH and I love that he never fails to thank God, I love him and I will ALWAYS love him because he's amazing and he deserved EVERY single win!

I recently read the accolades that Michelle Pfeiffer gave of working together on a movie, several yrs ago. Jonathan played her oldest son. Michelle Pfeiffer commented as well, as it seemed so natural being a mom with a son that their chemistry was just there!!!!

Jonathan played Lucky Spencer so GOOD 1. No other actor can play Lucky but him 2. There is no storyline left to tell for Lucky.
I KNOW, I SO wish that Jonathan Jackson does come back to GH to reprise his role!!!! It's written that they purposely didn't kill his character off hoping he would reprise it again!!! To me, Lucky played by Jonathan Jackson is Elizabeth's true love!!!! All the others pale in comparison.

He does do that, but he doesn't always thank Genie. Sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't. But, I do believe he is grateful for her mentorship.

@@angelablackmore9218 That's a real possibility, but she had such an influence, I thought he still might throw her name out there. But, I know he is extraordinarily grateful for having her as a mentor, so I didn't think it was a snub. He's never seemed like that kind of guy.

I would love to see Jonathan Jackson back on screen as Lucky. I hate that they make him look like an absentee father. They don't even mention him or say that he spoke with the kids via video call. Lulu Spencer is missed too.

I've said that before with Anthony Geary, or now Jonathan Jackson, win, they never acknowledge or thank Genie Francis in their thank you speeches, especially Anthony, who has always had a long and intense storyline with her. Does anyone know why this is?
Who knows, Jonathan did thank her in his speeches. When he won in 2011 and 2012 Genie wasn't on the show at the time so that's probably why he didn't thank her during those acceptance speeches.
The first time he won as a very young man, he was so overcome with emotion he simply pointed to Genie and Tony and said, “I want to thank them,” with his voice shaking. And perhaps you don’t remember that Genie wasn’t on as long as Jonathan and Tony were, so not every year he won was a year that Genie was in the cast at the time.
When Tony won his first Emmy in 1982 he thanked Genie and said half of it was hers so at least then he knew he wouldn't have won it without her
He (,Jonathan) thanked Genie in his first win. She wasn't on the show when he won most of his awards.
Is he the record holder for Emmy wins for a soap actor?
I believe Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer) has the most wins for a soap actor. He won 8 daytime emmys.

I wonder if JJ's strong Christian beliefs cost him major movie deals, such as Star Wars. Knowing what I do now about Hollywood and the nasty religious practices going on in the top brass.
I know Jonathan has stated that he would not audition for roles that glorified certain behavior, but was not afraid to play characters whose beliefs were different from his own. Whether his beliefs have cost him roles who knows. But he seems very content with the choices he's made. He has a wife and 3 kids and a love for God that probably mean more to him than any movie role. Did you know he lives in Ireland now? I would love to see him back on GH to have more scenes with Genie Francis. Because when he returned for a few episodes in 2015, he didn't have any scenes with just Genie and him after 16 years of not sharing the screen together.
@@crystalsnow1138 Wonder why he moved to Ireland. Things aren't going too well there, with all the covid restrictions. It's worse than many states here.
@@ellyreginald6546 I'm not too sure. I have read that he moved to Ireland to help support a new monastery being founded by the Romanian Orthodox Metropolis of Southern and Western Europe. So I don't know if he's going to live there permanently or not. Plus he's always loved visiting Ireland. I've also seen an interview with him recently where he stated he's open to returning to General Hospital.
