Yup. Recently been getting into Fifa 19 after not playing a Fifa title for well over a decade and I hear those ones all the time. However, I commented this on another video, but one stand out line I heard from his was "Everything he's touched has turned to goals" and I never heard that one again since.

5-6 years later and they’re still using these same lines... oh and they got rid of the best English commentary, instead of adding to it! The addition of Carragher and G. Neville, mixed with Martin Tyler and Smith would’ve been amazing.... an opportunity massively missed. Learn from NBA 2K

Nothing against these guys, but EA made them sound annoying by not putting in the apparent "thousands of samples". Only really a few dozen at best, put the said "thousands of variations" in the game already! I've played FIFA for years and I know the commentary isn't that diversified!

I was playing FIFA once and John Motson was the commentator. My team decided to disappear after a goal kick. The opposition had an open goal and missed when all of a sudden my team appeared. Looking back on replay, my team where jogging on the spot behind the opponents goal. Motson was like “OOOH HIS THROUGH ON GOAL HERE HIS GOT A GOOD CHANCE…(Goal celebration from crowd) HIS MISSED 😂. WHAT WAS HE THINKING ALLY McCOIST. WELL IM BAFFLED JOHN I DON’T THINK THE CROWD CAN QUITE BELIEVE IT NOT A DEFEND IN SIGHT” Meanwhile I’m recovering thinking I just lost the league title.
