- I already did my seat on my 4 wheeler, but the neighbor had one that needed done so I made a video. He has a kawasaki bayou 220.
text details copied from my first vid
here are the steps I took to Спорт
Was not expecting that choice of music
but it fits. lol
same haha
But it was a nice touch!
Even after reading this I wasn’t expecting it. I thought you were an old guy seeing a redneck then not expecting rap music. lol but I would imagine this is what the old lady at the upholstery shop owner would be playing lol
Nice and soothing. Just wondering @connermcgee6398 what were you expecting?
I was trying to do mine without the spray glue, and it was dang near impossible. The spray glue really makes it work good. It's like having an extra set of hands to hold it in place.
Thank you! That was a well done video. Not too long, but exactly what I wanted and needed to know so I could reupholster my seat. Thank you!
This is my project for tomorrow. I sew regularly and this is my first upholstery job. I never would have thought about the spray adhesive. Thank you! I also agree that the fast forward part was awesome.
awesome little trick with the dryer
All set!!! My seat is 23 years old and the pan s cracked up. Can't even imagine doing this without the spray glue. It came out great and the seat now fits back on the 4wheela and even clips on now! Likely from not being distorted by the old cover! Thank you so much!
Thankyou for the video! The music was a nice touch too!
The dryer & the spray adhesive - great tips! I think I can do this, thanks man!
Great video, also, If you have cracks or holes on the foam part of the seat, use polyurethane caulk to fill the holes or divots, then cover with thick tape, let it dry for overnight, then the seat will be even and smooth again, then use glue and marine vinyl the next day.
Awesome job. I know everyone should know how to do this kinda stuff, but it is kinda intimidating when you're not sure exactly what to do. Your video helps show step by step. I've got three seats to do... I start tomorrow. Thanks for your video and help!
Thank you I'm fixing up my nephew 4 wheeler for his birthday 🥰
I've installed factory vinyl covers that have matching seat bends. Great video for making any vinyl match your seat curves for excellent pro fit. you da' man!
Great job! Have done regular chair seats. Thanks for the heads up on heating the vinyl & where to start at. Saving ourselves $$ on our atv seat...have 2 razor seats to redo next.
Thank you for this, I figured it would be this type of process, it having it confirmed is reassuring. Loved the music.
Great job bro, appreicate the hacks about the dryer and the adhesive.
The whole dryer trick is the key..it made a major difference in the entire thing..thank you so much for sharing...😊
Nice job, just what I needed to see for an easy install. 100 degrees in CA, I'll heat soak new black vinyl in hot sun. Nice touch with (timeless) classical music that kept me in video to the end. Life is a gift. Be Blessed
Thanks man. I don't think I have ever posted on a video before but I had to on this one. You really did a great job teaching the process. I never would have even thought of trying to do that. After watching your video I was like - heck that doesn't look bad at all. Came out great and saved me $100.
Have a good one
That turned out great!
Smack dab in the midst of doing mine... Got it peeled but now it looks like I gotta get spray glue and hit the dryer! Awesome video!!!
Did my 2012 Honda for a rip in the back. Actually added some extra foam beforehand. Thanks for the clip!
Best video ever!!!! Really helped us! Went just like he said!!!! Thank you
That's one bad ass dryer. Thanks for the tips.
Lol was thinking the same
Good job man. You gave me the courage to try to do my seat ;)
That looks good thanks for the vid
Great job man, thanks for the lesson.
Good video...
Great Music!
caleb our videos have been some real help dude and nice wash/dry dude
Outstanding, that really looks great, and great tips, who says a 68 year old man can't learn something from a youngster LOL
Thanks!! now to redo my polaris 300 xplorer seat.
The fast forward part was so funny. Nice job!
Thank you so much. My atv now has an awesome seat cover!!!!
Cool deal! Thanks for making this video!
That was sweet thank you for the tips I need my bayou redone my seat that was awesome
Good job man..excellent!! Great music too!!!
Wasn't expecting to hear some Yo Yo Ma in this. Well done!
I do leather re-upholstery but have never worked with vinyl. I was trying to re-cover a seat for a friends fourwheeler but the vinyl just wouldn't stretch right and kept getting wrinkles in it. The dryer trick was the answer! Thanks!
Glad it all worked out. Yeah the dryer combined with the spray glue really does the trick.
Thanks for the vid man. I’m gonna take a crack at this on my Honda atc. Not worth bringing to a shop since the whole machine is about 500 lol. Love the music choice btw too!!
Thank you! Great video!! Explained very well,I watched a few vid's, your the only one to put it in dryer. This is my first time, hopefully it works. It showed on another video to use tape to cover any holes.
Well it worked, just couldn't get corners round,so I folded them like a xmas present, the hell with it,better than having a hole in it and getting wet ass..lol Thank you
Short and sweet, very nice!
Good job, Sir.
thanks for the video my good man, my foreman seat developed a tare in it but it was underneath the overlapping of the cushion from my back seat, so i never noticed, till one day i was washing my atv and noticed the seat split open the whole way across the back, i think ill attempt this over the winter thanks for the courage
ps. wish i seen this video sooner my friend just paid someone 80 bucks to do this
thanks for watchin man. I got the courage to do this after my buddy paid like $100.00 to get his done.
Greta info, Excellent job on the video too. :) ...like the music.
Awesome job. 👍🏻
Great tips. Gonna give it a shot. Thanx
I just did the seat on my foreman! Your a genius!!
Genius lol! I dont think so. But glad you got your seat done.
Good job!
Thanks bud . You just save me 240$ I got a couple of 2002 TRX 250. The guys wants to charge me 120$ with my fabric EACH. I'll do it myself. Thanks again.
No problem. Glad I could help out.
120$ with you having the fabric?!?! Did you tell him that he was stupid??
Good video man just ordered a new seat cover for my Honda 300 gonna use ur tips to replace mine, might make a video of it too, i got u subbed
i am redoing a mini bike harley davidson motorcycle using a 49cc motor its was given to me in rough shape i am restoring it and its seat was in need of major surgery it was actually in so bad of shape that you couldnt even call it a seat i put on a cover on it but was nothing like the one you did using the spray would help nice job with it.... this is my first seat to redo so hopefully it will come out the way you have it done great job
nicely done !!
Great job
Great job brother I got to my banshee sit.
outstanding work.
I need to do a Kaw. 610 mule bench seat. Thanks for the info.
Seat work great. Music awesome.
nice work man
great vid. ya helped me out of a jam and wasted matts!
Pretty good man thanks
Don't use spray adhesive! A good trick is to use a garbage bag over the foam so vinyl can slide. Heating the vinyl is a good recommendation as it allows you to stretch tight.
Good Job! Well done. Will save money
Good job bro
That's awsome 👍 I was having a terrible time trying to do mine
I love classical music and atvs so Im subscribing
This was very helpful.
My g right there, thanks man.
Sprinkle the sponge with 3M adhesive.
The seat carver is heated with a hot air fan.
I saw it well.
Great Video Kaleb! I'm going to try this on my quad and my snowmobile. How is your seat holding up?
damn good job on the seat and the video. very informative and clearly said.
Thanks I appreciate it.
Thank you for the Pro tips and making this look so easy. Where do I get the vinyl?
Super presentation. You didn't waste time with a bunch of yakking. Thanks.
Pretty good..can see some slight wrinkle...but overall a damn good idea....
Z Quad its probably just the foam, the foam on my seat is pretty beat and it did the same thing to me
Me personally I don’t use the adhesive bc when you don’t use it it lets you get it way tighter and it also is way easier to work with
Good video
I had no clue when I first started. You wanna fix it, but you don't want to mess it up more than it already is. It is a bit intimidating. I am glad that my video helped. Thanks for watching!
thanks. thought that would make a few people chuckle.
You chose the wright music a celloconcert I think from Locatelli and did a great job o the seat!!!
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
I think I might have seen enough to attempt my 1982 xr500r it's a tricky bike. So far.. lol thanks
holy crap. You could get 3 four wheelers with a dryer like that!
Thank you!
Great video, your choice of music was a delightful surprise, made me smile,... figured it would be some southern country rock but NOPE.. was it Tchaikovsky or Bach??
awesome
great video.. I just wanted to know if that glue was still holding. your seat looks professional. I'm inspired to try and fix mine. thank you...
Yep. I actually saw him at a pawn shop a few days ago. He said the old bayou 220 is still kickin and the seat is the nicest thing on the atv. lol
It may be best to spray both seat and vinyl. Doing so will use less contact spray.
Hmm...food for thought. Makes sense, I think anyway. Going to try his way or your idea, and see how it works out.
Good shit
Sprinkle the sponge with 3M adhesive.
The seat carver is heated with a hot air fan.
thanks.
Good luck a.nd thanks
good job
Thank you!
Not bad at all
idk if i should do this or just got to the shop in town and have them do it they charge $40 and u get to choose wat color leather
Can I use canvas instead of vinal?
I tried it and had difficulty on the back around the corners. So it looks pretty welfare but good enough. Also my staples were only 3/8 which was definitely too small so I will have to get bigger ones to finish.
Thanks Bandit for the tips.
What is the name of the song you used? Nice video too. The glue is a must.
the song is bach cello suite number one by yoyo ma. One of my favorites. Thansk for watching.
I covered my seat on my dual-sport using your method. Holy cow it worked so well! No more wet butt! My only problem was the stapler. The staples didn't want to go in. How did you get your staples in so easy? Thanks for posting. Am going to link to this.
Air staple gun 1/2 staples. I did it and worked great
@@stevedoty1845 YAY! Pneumatic ROCKS for jobs like this! Let the tools do the work for you. Thanks Steve. GREAT suggestion. :)
Wow
Thanks for watching & commenting. Hopw your seat redo goes well.
Thanks helps alot
Glad I could help.
@@CalebRowell you should upload some more videos man
@@peytonslures6637 I know man. I wish I had the time. Decided to go back to school and still trying to support my family. Recreational stuff has taken backseat for now. Maybe I'll make an update video soon or something. Would love to get back into fishing.
@@CalebRowell cool hope you make some soon
that spray has directions on it. you spray both items and let them get tacky before putting together. Also never use glue on a job like that. good thing it was not made like that or you could have not reused the foam. Now if you tear the seat you will ruin the foam to replace next time. But it looks good and I hope you don't need to do it again.
Holy crap. How many staples were harmed in the making of this video?
Hey genius...what's the point of putting it in the dryer if it takes a 1/2 hour to put on and cools down in 30 seconds. Tip for those that read this. Heat gun. Heat up as you go in the areas your working on. Came out awesome...
Where did you buy the vinyl?
There used to be a craft/fabric store here. It's gone now but I'm sure hobby lobby or joann's fabric would have some.
