I love watching and listening to Susan and her family preform ! I watch them on You Tube mostly and am looking for thier old records in thrift shops ! I really enjoy The Cowsills and Susan sings very pretty !
Been a fan since the late 60’s & bought their albums back then, about the same age as John; I was born in 57. Had a really big crush on him & Barry back then. RIP Barry. I’m so sorry they had such a rough life; it makes my heart hurt for them. 💙😢
Barry looks happy here, fully engaged in the moment. Always his own person, no RedSox tee for him LOL. Glad the family has this to look back on. rest well Barry .....
@@JamesCAsphalt8 The version I recorded is not listenable. There is a one and a half second delay between The Cowsills singing and the sound bouncing back from the speakers. The only clean sound was on the broadcast which I don't own. So, this little video contains highlights of their preparation.
i never knew this was going on and im from north of boston but i remember the world series 2004 i was on a cruise when they won but people knew where we were from and told us go sox
To each his own. I am a fan of both, both now and in their day, but I don't compare them; they just are what they are. I like them for what they each did individually.
Me too!! Love Susan because she’s so freakin cool 😎 and confident, talented and beautiful!! Is that Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells I heard playing over the PA in the background?? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sounds like the stadium was playing the whole of Tubular Bells. Amazing. Great to see the sibs there. But why didn't we get to hear the full anthem and what they sang afterward? Oh well. Can't have everything in life, 'eh.
That portion of these events belongs to Major League Baseball and so I was not able to share it here. Maybe The Cowsills will perform it again soon at a ballpark near you!
@@louisepalanker Yes I schooled in Colorado. President's Dean's List early 1990s. Maybe someday I can write a song for the cowsills. That would be fun.
It would but we don't own the rights to that footage as it belongs to Major League Baseball. The video we recorded features The Cowsills' performance with a second and a half bounce back off the speakers in a large stadium. What we recorded, with that delay sounds not good. The televised version is not ours to share.
We don't have the rights to the recording from TV which isolates their vocals. What you hear on the field is unlistenable. Trust me. It includes a second and a half delay of the sound coming from their mouths fighting against the sound from the speakers in the stadium.
Because that part belongs to Major League Baseball and the recording is unlistenable. There is a second and a half delay from when they sing to when you hear it bouncing back from the speakers.
I'm so sorry about that. The doc is on Amazon Prime. I'm not sure how they do their billing. You can also buy a DVD using Amazon and I'm sure that will allow you to use PayPal.
Interesting footage. Did Barry forget his Red Sox shirt? I have a feeling he didn't forget it - but just chose to be stubborn and not wear it. Barry died less than a year later during Hurricane Katrina.
Trust me. You don't want to hear it. There is a two second delay between them singing live and the sound coming out of the stadium speakers. It would make you howl.
Love you all so much!At 63 I have such fond memories of your performances and beautiful music!!!
I love the Cowsills who have bought so much happiness to so many for so long. Well done gang x
A year before Katrina, so Barry was still with us. He really seemed like a creative, unique guy. Also nice to see Richard included.
Barry was indeed all of that and more!
interesting that he was so immersed in the guitar and avoided eye contact and chat... was he stressed I wonder?
@@lyndy2026 Interesting but who cares. Seriously.

Susan appreciates & encourages each brother exactly as needed.

Louise managed to deliver on a documentry, which is very telling. This family truly had to find the strength from within, and from each other.
Thank you so much, Michael.
Thanks Louise, for this upload, anything about The Cowsills, I enjoy.
I'm glad : )
God I Love Susan Cowsill.
Na na na, I luv her more.
do you want some of her tangerine?
She is really someone easy to look at and listen too as well. She could read the phone book and I would still be excited and I am 69 :)
I love Susan too lol

Ohhh I wish I would have been there! Sure looks like a fun time with the Cowsills! Excellent video!! Fan for life.

Love the Red Sox and love the Cowsills!

These guys would have been great on TV - Susan could carry most of it alone. These are the real deal

Barry playing guitar while his tongue is sticking out is a classic guitar player's pose.
"I'm an old Cowhand"
Mike Oldfield's Exorcist music is a nice touch.
That was playing in the stadium. Just a Red Sox thing that year I'm guessing.

There wasn't a better way to get onto the field other than crawling through the crowd?
Other than going through the locker room, probably not. Anyway, that is what they had us do.

why was the exorcist theme playing?
That's a question for Fenway. They were playing it in the park. It must mean something to fans or to the Red Sox.
In the hair video from 69, can you please tell me which brother was on this.. not sure why I'm confused. I know Susan and her mom obviously lol
Yes. All of The Cowsills except Richard are in the Hair video.

Bill could not make it and John was traveling with The Beach Boys.

I think you are right. He wore that shirt all day I think and chose to go with just the bandana for the performance.

Oh Colin. You don't need Barry gear to be cool.
Richard wasn't worried because he'd only be lip-synching.
