I’m also using the dark gray Weeks and live in (Northern) Colorado! I don’t have a huge issue with the Hobonichi elastic but I like the idea of the Velcro dots.
OMG, I feel so seen! This is why I stopped planning on fountain pen, my brain was focusing on all the pretty and not the stuff that needed to get done. I've been loving the Uniball One (.38 or . 5) and a random precision tip gel pen by MOKA (that I got as an Etsy freebie and I'm now obsessed with) on recent Tomoe River paper. Just black lines, nothing else. 🖤
in regards to the habit tracking with scoring, i think it might be motivating and satisfying for some habits but not relevant to all habits (depending on the person of course). for myself, one of the things that i track is when i workout but i don't work out everyday on purpose. in that case, it doesn't feel like my score should be lowered just because i don't need to workout everyday.
I had the opposite… I ordered an Easthill pencil case that Julie Plans recommended and it came with completely different branding (but looked the exact same). It’s basically just a Chinese manufacturer selling through Amazon. It’s fine (and a good case) but Amazon really went to the dogs when they allowed all the Chinese knock offs.
Haha, that case is just Chinese companies having zero notion of labels. 😂 I'm pretty sure it's the same product. As for the Hobonichi band thing, I know what you mean. I've been making my own, slightly larger too to have more holding power, simply by stapling an elastic to a piece of cardboard or plastic (I chop up old filofax dividers). Sure, you can still feel the staples, but you can washi tape other them or sg, so they're less noticeable and they make no indent on the flyleaf.
