      Spero che vorrai concordare con me : i " veri " Jethro Tull,strabilianti,originali,ammalianti live in concert sono quelli del periodo 1969 - 1973 ( ho assistito ad alcuni concerti nel 1972 e 1973).Tuttavia,dopo il tour dell'estate/autunno 1973 ove proponevano Passion Play ( ultimo capolavoro)a mio parere la magia si esauri'.Nulla sara' piu come prima,anche per gli album in studio...

    • @civictull
      @civictull 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@sinusiridum551 Devo darti pienamente ragione, dopo quel periodo hanno provato varie influenze rock senza grande successo, ma sarai d'accordo con me che la genialità di un grande artista come Ian Anderson non la si potrà vedere più in qualsiasi altro.

      @sinusiridum551 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@civictull concordo pienamente! Aggiungo: considero scandaloso che, relativamente al biennio 1972-1973 ove erano strepitosi ed al culmine della loro bravura in concerto,NON esista qualche album ufficiale dal vivo !! Il live del 1978 mi dice nulla a confronto . Peccato mortale della discografia mondiale!

      @civictull 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@sinusiridum551 Verissimo se avessero inciso un album in quel periodo migliore sarebbe stato sicuramente uno dei migliori della storia del rock dal vivo. Effettivamente quello del 78 Burning out io ce l'ho, ma ormai non erano più quelli degli anni migliori.

      I must interject, however, that rising stars tend to shine brightest upon rising, however, Ian Anderson’s light has shown brightly for over half a century. Ups and downs of course, but his creativity and energy have never, ever waned. He is, and will always be, in my opinion, THE Renaissance man of modern music!

    I don't think Tull ever had any illusions of being another white "blues" band from England, it was a base to start from and get their real music heard. Blues music was red hot at the time in England with the great Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac leading the way. Tull played blues and played it pretty good but their heart was in playing their own creative music.

He sounds great here as do whole band, but Davy never that robust by all accounts and Ian a famously hard taskmaster so not meant to be.....great to see though.
